Just be friends [Shimura x Katou]

Katou smiled sadly as he saw his friend Shimura with a group of girls. Probably, making a move again, as he looked at him from afar.

"Let's exchange emails" Shimura chirped. The girls glared at him in disgust as they walked away leaving a broken hearted Shimura.

"W-Wait! Come back here! What did I do?!"

Katou sighed as he calls his name. "Another rejection?" He asked as he approached his friend. Shimura rubbed his nape as he nodded.

"I don't get it. I'm just asking for their emails and they just left me alone!" He hollered.

"Maybe they're not really interested" Katou says as he tries to comfort him.

"I'm hopeless! I just wanted a girlfriend! Why won't they like me?!" He wailed.

"But I like you" Katou absentmindedly blurted out which made Shimura looked at him in pure shock. Katou felt so embarrassed that he finally confessed what he always wanted to say to him for a long time.

"Bro.." Shimura mumbled. Katou felt his cheeks warmed up as he stumbled for words. "I.. I.."

Shimura then bursted into a laughing fit. "W-What the! Hahahaha! That was really awkward!" Shimura continued to laugh. Katou felt a stinging sensation upon his heart but he decided to play along. "Y-Yeah.." He chuckled nervously.

"Well, thanks for that. I appreciate it. My sadness was gone for a while. Though, don't joke around like that again, it's really weird." Shimura responded as he patted Katou's shoulder. "Let's get going, we'll be late for our next class" He added as he walked away first.

Katou pursed his lip as he tries to suppress his incoming tears. "But I do really like you.." He mumbled.
