Subject: Senior Year
It was the first day of our senior year today. I walked through the halls slowly, discomfort engulfing me as I began to realize this was the first day of school where you and I didn't walk in together, laughing and messing around like idiots.
I caught your eyes when I passed your locker. Your beard had grown in, your hair a bit longer than before, giving you a rugged look that I couldn't tear my eyes from. You looked painfully and absolutely handsome. I wanted to run to you, to wrap my arms around you and plant an intoxicating kiss on your luscious lips.
I almost did, actually.
But reality set in and memories of that dark December night resurfaced. Agonized by the remembrance of your words from that night, I looked away and quickly disappeared into the crowd.
