Wolf (BTS Werewolf AU)

Prologue: Bite

It was quiet that night and especially in this neighbourhood. Barely any cars ever drove down this street since it was almost at the edge of the town. The only sounds present were crickets and hum of loud music playing from Jungkook's room who was getting ready to sleep through the last night of summer break.

As he was washing his face when he thought he heard a banging sound from outside. He ignored it till he could tell that it was obviously a person walking and climbing around the house. Jungkook quickly put on a hoodie, grabbed his old baseball bat and carefully walked outside. If there was a robber Jungkook was ready to beat the hell out of them. And he was so ready that he didn't expect a body to fall from the roof and dangle around like a corpse, so he screamed loud enough to wake up all of his neighbours. And he only continued screaming when the body screamed back for about 5 seconds, and they only stopped when Jungkook recognised the face of the intruder.

"What the hell are you doing Taehyung!?"

"You weren't answering your phone!" Tae yelled back, still shaken up from falling backwards on a roof and almost being hit by his muscle friend with a bat. "Why do you have a bat!?"

"I thought you were a robber!"

"A ro-*scoff* Kook a robber wouldn't walk into an obviosuly full house." he remarked. "Anyways, I know it's late but you got to hear this. I saw my dad leave 20 mins ago. Dispatch called." Taehyung explained while letting his arms dangle and swinging himself a little. "They're bringing in every officer from the town department and even the state police."

"For what?"

"Two joggers found a body in the woods." Tae replied almost excitidly as he jumped off and landed in the bushes.

"A dead body?" Jungkook looked over the railing.

"No, a body of water. Yes dumbass a dead body." Tae got up and crawled over the railing onto the porch.

"You mean like, murdered?"

"Nobody knows yet. Just that it was a girl, somehwere in her 20s."

"Hold on if they found the body what are they looking for?"

"That's the best part..." Tae leans in and smirks "They only found a half of it." he pops his lips staring at slightly scared and slightly bothered Jungkook. "We're going."

The boys parked by the forest and got out, Jungkook already groaning.

"Are we really doing this?"

"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town."

"I just wanted some sleep before practice tommorow. Not only are you reducing my hours but you might just get me paranoid enough not to get any sleep for the next week."

"Riiiiight, cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort."

"No, because I'm playing this year. In fact I'm making first line."

"Heyy that's the spirit! Maybe if you believe in that enough it might just come true! Maybe this year might even go well for both of us! All you have to do is believe." Jungkook laughed as the two of them walked through the cold forest. It was true though. The two boys have been going to the same schools as best friends for years now, and they always ended up sitting on the bench, not playing a single game for their team, their dreams of starting book and videogame clubs never came true, hell they barely even had the courage to ever ask anyone out. And even when they did find it, they were always rejected and called "freaks" or "weirdos". They were quite the outsiders, but still happy since every step they took and every time they fell they were still together. But there were always just a few things in life that could be a bit better.
