Trust me, this will come a long way.
If you are a writer for fiction and your audience is young adults, try to limit your writing in chapters. If a lot of young people are reading your stories, trust me when I say that they just want to get to the point of the story. Not everyone of course, but consider it.
With that said, your story shouldn't be 3k words in one chapter. In a book that's completely fine, but on a phone, it's never ending scrolling. When we're scrolling forever on the first chapter, majority of your young adult readers just want I get to the second chapter. We may end up skipping chapters or not reading the book at all when they know it's too long.
Think I don't know what I'm talking about?
Whenever critics reviewed to my story on Wattpad they told me that my first chapter was too long because it had three thousand words or more. I took their advice to shorten my chapters out1000 and 1700 is my current aim. Sometimes you will see me go to 2000 but I love to keep it at 1000 or 1300 or 1700.
