Chapter 6

Summer's POV 

I can't believe Tomika never told us she went through that. She lost her parents when she was 3 and she never told us. Just then we see Tomika walk into the classroom, which is where we are right now

Zack: are you ok Tomika

Tomika: yeah I'm fine Zack

Summer: Tomix why didn't you tell us about everything you can do

Tomika (tears up): because it reminds me of my parents

Lawrence: doesn't being at raven academy do that too

Tomika: not as much as music

Freddy: wait what

Tomika: music and dance are what really get to me

Summer: Tomix

Tomika: my parents were musicians and dancers

Lawrence: have you got a video of them dancing

Tomika: I have there very first dance comp together

Freddy: do you mind if we watch it

Tomika then gets out her phone and loads the video and she gives it to Zack and she goes somewhere else. The video was

Once we had finished watching it and they were amazing we turned to find Tomika crying. I could see Zack go up to her and he placed her phone in her bag and pulled her so her head was on the bottom of his chest and she calmed down

Summer: Tomix they were amazing dancers

Tomika (crying): I know me and josh recreated that dance last year in tribute to my parents

Zack: if you don't mind me asking Tomika where do you live if your parents died

Tomika: it's fine zack and raven academy took me in when I was five up until then I was living on the streets

Freddy: you poor thing no one should ever live on the streets

We all then go up to Tomika and give her a group hug. Just then we see some ravens walk through the classroom door

Josh's POV

Right now we are at Travis Prep to see if Tomika is ok and by we I mean me, Jess, maddie, liv and Bruno. We have all been so worried about her as it is the anniversary of her parents death. Just then we walk through her classroom door to find her and her friends hugging, she must be crying

Josh: mika are you ok

Tomika: I'm fine josh

Josh: you showed them the video of your parents dancing didn't you

Tomika then nods her head

Summer: they were very talented

Principal Mullins: who were

Zack: Tomika's parents

Principal Mullins: why are you ravens here

Josh: we came to see if Tomika was ok

Principal Mullins: now you know that she is you can leave

Bruno: we just got here

Principal Mullins: no one wants you here

Tomika: I do

Principal Mullins: what

Liv: so miks, We've all been thinking

Tomika: what about

Maddie: we want to show off some talent from Travis Prep and we thought of the best group of people to do it

Summer: what are you going on about

Josh: she's saying we want you guys to perform at one of our open mic nights

Tomika: ok the last one I went to I freaked out and never went on stage again

Josh: until you got over your stage fright and became a phenomenal singer
