Marching out the door of the bar, you glared around the empty streets until your eyes landed on a lone woman no doubt a few years older than you, smirking at her curved, pale figure you maliciously went on the prowl, looks like you found a toy to help get your mind off of things.

Koby leaned back in his stance, all officers were sent to the courtyard, all watching police chief Akainu stand on his high stage with a microphone and stack of paper, "attention maggots!" Although his voice was less aggressive than usual, it still sent shivers down every single human's spine.

"In order to go against the criminals of the town, the board has decided it to be the best decision to strengthen our ranks by focusing on finding our soulmates" blinking in surprise, Helmeppo right beside him whistled in approval, "here that Koby!? We're getting paid to find romance!" Awkwardly smiling at his companion's excitement, the pink haired officer just remained silent.

"Now, any questions? Speak now maggots, because after this meeting, no officer is allowed to take one step in any police station until they've found their partner" as an uproar arose from the crowd, one man near the front raised his hand.

Koby quickly recognized the man as the 'white hunter' the police officer who also worked part time as a private investigator, Smoker, the man often bent the rules when he found convenient loop holes in the cases he came across, but even though he had a bad reputation, Koby couldn't help but think the man was good knowing that Luffy liked him.

"Tell me, what are we supposed to do if our soulmates are criminals then? Are you saying we should arrest them and weaken our own forces?" People began to mummer, but Akainu was quick to answer, even if he didn't like the answer himself judging from his pissed expression, "no, the government has agreed that we need all the strength we can get during this age of criminal outbreak, so it has been decided that for all officers who have found a criminal soulmate, that soulmate's criminal record will be wiped, their crimes will also go unpunished as long as they agree to give up their life of crime and focus solely on supporting their partner by joining the authorities cause" More officers started to mutter around in an uproar, causing the police chief to blow his temper.

"Just get going! Go now you brainless imbeciles!" Blasting his heat off everywhere, the lower ranks scattered, moving throughout the streets of the city in a search for their soulmate, Koby was just about to go search around main street when he felt a hand clasp onto his shoulder.

Turning around, he was met with a familiar blonde, "hey Koby! You weren't going to go without me huh?" Smiling at his friend, the pinkette shook his head, "no, of course not Helmeppo-san" as the two walked away from their headquarters, both the officers were at ease unlike all the others that moved with haste.

"Hey, I heard something was happening in the grandline tonight, some sort of underground concert" Helmeppo just stated it from out of nowhere in their conversation, but nonetheless Koby still heard it, "what!? Helmeppo-san, you know I don't like getting involved with the underground, I'm a police officer!" The shaded male just whined in irritation, "eh? Says the guy who's bff's with one of the biggest crim-" the pinkette silenced him fast.

"Shh! What if someone hears you?" Ignoring the boy's paranoia, Helmeppo actually listened and didn't finish that sentence, "well still, you're right, we are cops so that means staying out of the things going on in the underground is impossible, besides, sounds like almost every criminal is going, some big shot singer is apparently performing, goes by (L/N) 'player' (Y/N)" Koby innocently blinked, "player?" He questioned.

"Yeah, she gets around with guys and girls a lot, doesn't believe in soulmates I hear, but never mind her, this is a good opportunity for us Koby! If there is the chance that our soulmates are criminals then this is the time to look for them" the pinkette still didn't feel too sure, "are you sure Helmeppo-san?" The blonde only nodded his head, dragging the smaller boy along with him.
