Chapter 48 | Punch Me

Start from the beginning

I could hear Its quiet sobs in the back of my mind mixing with the loud buzzing pain. I couldn't move a muscle, I was frozen on the spot yet my body was shaking in distaste.

I was starstruck as he stood in front of me now, his hand reached for a strand of my hair "Arianrhod..." he sighed in content "I can't wait to see your face when I take away everything important to you...Ah..pure bless..I am shaking from the image...I want to see your blood spill in the most agonising way possible..I want you to wish you never found peace"

I felt my throat close, not a breath could pass.

"You don't deserve happiness...you are worthless," he gritted out.

F*cking...psychopath.

My vision flickered black, a numb feeling creeping into my limbs.

Tears started to spill more and more, one after another falling down, it seemed that each tear was tearing my heart bit by bit, I would scream but only short gasps left my lips in vain to fight the burn in my throat.

It hurts.

Why does it hurt?

It is It?

Why do I feel like dying?

Jake..help me.

He was gone. The boy is not here anymore.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips, my body gave up and I fell on my knees.

"Who...was....he?"

Arian? Can you hear me?

..yes.

You have blocked me out, you idiot.

Are you alright?

Dahlia, do you regret being my other half?

What are you talking about?..No. Never thought of it.

Arian?

I have a feeling you will soon. I chuckled humorlessly.

"Arian!" Jenn faint voice called me.

I couldn't stay conscious long enough to see her.

Everything went black.

******
I woke up to low chanting.

With half open eyes I glanced at Jake who sat beside my bed his head in his hands, the white hospital sheets dunked in his scent, I am guessing this is his bed "I shouldn't have let you leave, if you stayed here--" he glanced at me his words dying down.

"You are awake" he whispered more to himself than to anyone.

"Shouldn't you be the one in this bed?" I asked hoarsly, I gladly took the glass of water Jake offered me.

"I am okay, you are the one who fainted in the middle of a sidewalk...you really don't eat much if I am not with you" he grumbled, Taking the empty glass from my hand.

...they didn't tell him.

It is better that way.

Jake is right, I don't eat much if he isn't with me. I can't die of starvation but that doesn't mean I don't feel hunger, I simply am used to the feeling, food isn't a necessity to me so I forget to eat. Old habits die hard.

"What can I say, not having the handsome face of my mate in front of me does influence my appetite" I chuckled mockingly.

"Arian...I was worried" he frowned. My eyes went to his tensed arms is he training more?
