Lost in a storm

Link and I were currently walking through the snow on Hebra mountain. We have been trying to find a shrine around here because Link only needed 1 spirit orb so he could get another heart container. I was wearing the warmest clothes that I had which was my warm doublet and my ruby circlet. But I didn't have any warm boots or pants. So my lower body felt numb. "Hey Link do you think we could try and find a cave and rest for awhile? I'm really cold." Link stopped and turned around. "Come on (Y/n) I know we're close to the shrine, the sheikah sensor is going off." I just sighed and continued to follow Link.

<~ 30 minute time skip ~>

"Link I thought you said we were close to the shrine?" "We are just a few more minutes." I sneezed which was followed by a cough. "P-please Link I n-need a break." Link sighed and looked at me. "You'll be fine, we can't stop now." I groaned, "if y-you wont stop t-t-to rest than you can go on w-without me." Link looked at me with wide eyes. "You wouldn't last 10 minutes out here by yourself." I scoffed, "so your c-calling me w-weak?" I couldn't talk anymore without stuttering, I was shivering so much. "No I'm just saying you would get scared and try to fine me, then you would get lost trying to do so." That was it. "Link what is wrong with you? Has your brain been frozen, why are you acting like this." Link sighed and looked down. "I'm tired of you slowing me down, I could finish missions faster, find shrines and so much more if you weren't here to slow me down." I looked down tears forming in my eyes. "I-if that's h-h-how you feel t-then I'll just leave!" I turned around and started to leave. I came to a stop when I heard Link walking away while the snow crunched under his feet. "I guess he really meant what he said." Tears slowly fell down my face as I continued to walk to Hylia knows where.

"And here I thought Link and I were friends but I guess I was wrong. And to think I actually liked him hoping he would like me back. I'm such an idiot." I stopped to process what I just said. "And to think, I hoped he liked me." I was crying and not just because I was sad. But because I was so lost and I couldn't feel my legs. I looked around and couldn't see a thing. A blizzard formed causing me not to be able to see but a few feet in front of me. I sighed and tried to walk forward. After a few feet I fell to my knees. I fell over into the snow and my body went numb. "Link... help me." That was the last thing I said before I closed my eyes and lost consciousness.

I sighed as the wind picked up. I just kept walking trying to find the shrine. "I cant believe (Y/n) left." I shook my head and kept walking forward. I stopped when snow blew in my face. A blizzard was forming making it hard to see. My heart sped up as I thought about (Y/n) being alone during this storm. She was also cold and tired which makes this worse. "I'm such an idiot!" I turned around and ran in the direction I was walking from. Why did I let her walk away!? I was so focused on finding the shrine I didn't listen to her. Oh please (Y/n) be alright. I was running and trying not to slow down even though the storm was picking up. I stopped to catch my breath and I looked around. "(Y/n) can you hear me, please say something!" I looked around one more time when I saw something terrifying. There laid (Y/n) in the snow. "(Y/n)!" I ran to her as fast as I could. I picked her up and her lips were just a light shade of blue. Oh my Hylia what have I done! I took out my sheikah slate while still holding (Y/n). I pressed the blue light that said Myahm Agana shrine. Blue light surrounded (Y/n) and I as we teleported to that shrine.

When we got there I ran to our house and went inside. I immediately placed her in the her bed. (In the house pretend there are 2 beds instead of just 1) Her breathing was weak but at least she was still breathing. I walked out side to where my cooking pot was and took out some ingredients to make some food. I made some spicy meat and seafood for the both of us. "This should warm her up." I went inside and place the food on the and got two bottles of milk out just incase she thought it was too spicy. I walked up to where her bed was and looked as she slept peacefully. Her lips weren't blue anymore which was good. I shook her slightly and called her name. She slowly opened her and looked at me. "w-where are we?" "We're at home." She nodded her head before sitting up. "Did you cook? I can smell it." I nodded and she stood up as we both made our way to the table. While we were eating it was just silence. But I decided to break it. "(Y/n) you have a sheikah slate of your own, why didn't you teleport somewhere warm?" She didn't say anything for a moment before whispering something. I couldn't hear her at first. "What was that?" "I didn't want to leave you even if you didn't want me around." She still spoke quietly but I could understand her.

"(Y/n) what I said, I hope you know I didn't mean it." She looked up at me as I continued. "I don't know what came over me and why I said that. I just hope you can forgive me." She stayed quiet for a moment before smiling. "Okay I forgive you, under one condition." "What?" "You promise to never do that again." I smiled and nodded. "Ok I will never do it again, promise." She smiled and I asked her one more question. "I still don't know why you didn't leave me even after I said all those thing." She looked down at her lap. "I-it's because I... l-l-like you a l-l-lot". I sat there and didn't say a thing. "Really!?" She just nodded and I stood up and walked over to her. She was still looking down so I crouched down so she could see me. I quickly kissed her cheek and she gasped. "I like you to." She smiled and quickly pecked my lips. "I'm glad you feel the same." We both smiled at each other. She then said something, "I guess your heart isn't as cold as Hebra mountain after all." I looked at her with a 'really' face and playfully punched her in the arm. "Oh what ever."
