I Don't Like

I don't like that we bond over how broken we are.

We talk about how bad it got, how far

we let ourselves slip.

I don't like what we have in common: that we let our skin rip.

We both avoid unsettling topics, we try not say to what we wanna do; die.

We don't want to worry each other so we tell a lie.

I ate. I'm fine. I haven't done it in weeks.

Maybe you just don't know how it reeks

to see such a beautifully smart girl lost?

You toss aside your feelings, but I really wish it was the razor you tossed.

But I can't say any of this without being a hypocrite, so I just sit in silence.

I wish our lives wouldn't end in violence.

Even if it's to ourselves.
