I thought if I talked louder they would pay attention, so I did.
I thought if I was more dramatic that I would win the bid
to their heart and their affection.
But all it was show me my reflection.
A girl who lies, who pretends.
A girl who bends
over backwards to fulfill their every need, in hopes of getting the same.
But I guess they thought my attempts were too tame.
And now I sit alone,
waiting by my phone.
