In My Head

(Whenever there are speech parts it is their insecurity talking to them in their head)

I have made my own destiny.

I can no longer find reality.

Was that what they said?

Or was that all in my head?

"It's not like they even care."

I'm not sure how much more I can bear.

"Just let go, let me take control."

No. I'm in charge, that's my role!

"So you're saying I should leave, let you handle the pain?

Just let their harsh words rain?"

Falling to my knees, I sob.

"Ah, so you do need me to handle the mob."

I see it smirk in my mind, suddenly not making a sound.

Then it comments, "Did you expect something else to be found?

Did you expect that you'd come to your own rescue?"

I silence myself, knowing what it's saying is true.

"How naive."
