Bedtime Stories

The cave was dark, which was to be expected. The deeper they went the darker it became. There were no torches within the cave.

They walked and walked and walked. The cave becoming harsher and harder to navigate as they dove deeper into it.

The woman tripped and called out the man's name in pain.

The man tried his best to grab her arms. Once he finds her in the darkness of the cave, he drags his hand down her body and feels her ankles.

"It's sprained," he said.

He can't see the woman's face and he really wants to. The man hooks his arms underneath her knees and arms. He then lifts her up off of the cave floor.

He leaned his forehead against hers and whispered two words: "almost there".

And then all of a sudden their kissing and somehow it feels as though the cave is becoming brighter. When they opened their eyes they could see finally see each other again. They look up and see stones glowing on the roof of the cave.

They looked at each other and grinned.

Those grins remained onto their face all the way until they made it out of the cave.
