Samantha came back today, but I ignored
her. She tried various ways to coax me into
talking or even just smiling, but failed with
each mission. She said I was hurting her
feeling as a last fleeting attempt, and still
failed, because I didn't care.
“Don't be frightened, child,” the darkness
whispers. “It's normal not to feel anything
any longer, it means I'm winning.”
