time skip: home: amber's pov

"so, what now amber?" simon asks as he closes the front door behind us. "time to play some dead by daylight." i smile at him. "cool, cool." simon nods.

i chuckle as i jog up the stairs towards my room. simon follows me, but continues on, going up to his room.

i set everything up, and invite him to a game.

i've decided that i'm going to be the killer because, you know, the killer is the way to go. i decide to be the huntress as that's my favorite killer at the minute; the hag is a close second place, and the nurse is third.

i quickly invite him to a skype call, which he accepts quickly. "ready?" i ask with a smile. "ready." he nods. "let's do this!" i yell as we begin to play.

. . .

"how do you do that?" i ask astonished at how quickly she can kill everyone. "what?" she asks, laughing. "how do you kill everyone so quickly?" i ask. "i play this game all the time. it's called practice." amber smiles. "hmm, okay." i nod.

"you're just a sore looser, simon." amber laughs. "no i'm not." i protest. "mate, i beat you at an easy game of football, and i've kicked your ass playing this." amber points out. "w-whatever." i stutter.

"honey's we're home!" the familiar sound of tobi yelling catches our attention. "see you down there." amber says before running off. i sigh before making my way out my room, and downstairs.

"you two haven't killed each other then," vik comments. i laugh, "nope." "surprisingly not." simon says.

"i'm just happy that you two are finally getting along better." josh smiles. "i think you all are." i comment. "indeed we are." jj nods.

"so, would you consider yourselves friends now?" tobi asks. "hmm," i hum. "maybe." simon shrugs. "if we did this again, and it goes well, sure." i shrug. "well, get scheduling a time where you can amber, because i don't fancy seeing you two arguing again. especially after this." josh smiles. "okay, josh." i laugh.

"group hug?" vik suggests. "sure." i nod before engulfing vik into a hug. soon enough everyone else joins in.

. . .

so what do you know, me and simon do have some things in common. and who knew we'd be getting along, after a year of rivalry and fighting. i sure as hell didn't. i bet no one did. and boy, aren't i glad about it.
