THE DEAL

Lunch

Shaun and I left the P.E.Room and headed for the cafeteria.

I reached the cafe where I spotted Shanelle and the others at our table talking away.Shaun and I waited in the the lunch line to get our lunches.

"Hey Shaun"I said to him while stepping up in the line.

"Hmm?"he asked while focusing his attention on me.

"I don't know but an idea just kicked in and I was thinking that we could have a sleepover at my house Friday night to Sunday morning."it didn't came out the way I wanted it to sound but atleast he understand what I said.

"Okay cool,we should tell the others"he said suggestively while tilting his head towards our table to prove his point.

"I was going to tell them you silly"I shoved his shoulder in a playful manner and stepped up into the line.

"Hmmm"he poked me in the side with his finger.

"Hey!What was that for?"I am so gonna get back at him for that.

"What?Oh come on what did I do now?"he knows what he did to hell with him.

"Shaun you know what you did,you poked me."

"Okay sweetie pie,my bff and also my pain in the neck,you know I love you right?"he pulled me in for a hug and kissed my forehead.

"You are my pumpkin pie,my ride or die and also my nightmare and I so much hate you" I rolled my eyes at him and turned my back to him.Revenge just feels so good.

"Talk to the back hun"he didn't say anything else because he knows that I was going to ignore him which I definitely was planning to do.

"Ms.Grant good afternoon to you."I said politely to the sweet middle aged lady in front of me.

"Good afternoon Ms.Thorpe.What for you today?"she asked pointing to the vegetarian section.
"I'd like a vegetable salad and two oranges please."

"Okay,here you go."she handed me my order and then I stepped out of the line, Shaun had already ordered his lunch with another lunch lady and had stepped out of the line waiting for me.

"Okay"I said to Shaun and we made our way over to our table.Shaun had ordered a Wine Slice and a D&G soda.

"Oh hey guys"I said to to my friends as I take a seat.

"Hi Lexi,Hi Shaun"they all said in unison and Shaun wave at them and got seated beside Rochelle.

We had a good half an hour before the bell ring signifying the end of lunch so I don't have to hurry.

Right?Yeah right.

Everybody had already finished eating,except Janolle and I was down to my last orange.

"Okay guys can I get your attentions for a couple minutes?"everybody stop what they were doing and turned to look at me."Okay first I'd like to say I really missed you guys Friday and the bad thing about it is there wasn't even any phone signal at my aunt's so even if I wanted to contact you guys I couldn't."They all dragged me in for a big,warm and very tight bear hug"I......can't........breath"they pulled back and we all started to laugh.

"Okay secondly Saturday Shanelle and I went shopping and I bought this nice,cute pair of sock for you Shaun,and since blue is your fav I bought them in blue."I took it out of the shopping bag and handed it to him.

He pulled me in for another hug and whisper a thank you in my ear.

"Ruth I bought you another diary since your old one is almost finish"I handed her the diary and she sign languaged a thank you lexi to me.

I bought a hairbrush for Chazae.It's a brush that comes with a comb attached to it and it is small so its easy to carry around.I gave it to her and she fell in love with it instantly.

Roch and Janolle got a keyring.Janolle instantly put her house keys on hers and roch did the same.

"Thirdly I'm thinking of having a sleepover Friday night to Sunday morning but this one won't be a regular sleepover."

"Why is that so?"Chazae asked.

"Because you'd be allowed to carry Jermaine along with another friend either gender,Shanelle you'd be allowed to carry Earl.."I was being cut off by Shanelle.

"Oh hun I broke up with him"she said sounding like she had no form of regrets.

"Uhm am gonna have a talk with you later"I said pressing the word talk and glaring at her and she darm well knows that she's in trouble."Shanelle you can carry your boyfriend and another friend"I said boyfriend because Shanelle is never single as she broke up with one guy she's in for another."Janolle,Shaun and Rochelle you guys can carry two friends each and I'm gonna do the same."

"Oh I think you should invite you know Tafarie"Shanelle got the nerves I gave her a death glare and I think she knew what that mean.

"Yeah Lexi you should,can't you see that the guy really likes you"Chazae you just had to be on his team ugh.

They all started to give me puppy faces and its something they knew I couldn't resist."Okay okay I'll invite him geez"they all let out a breath at once.

"Okay so what now?"

We made our plans for the sleepover on Friday.With twelve minutes left before the bell we decided to split up and go and see if our invitees were open for the sleepover.

First I went to see Ashanti,she's on our tracks team,but she said she won't be available because she had to be somewhere Saturday.I went to Kino and he said he was all free,so I gave him the detes then headed back to the cafeteria where Tafarie was seated with some of his football players and beside him was some other bimbo.

I made my way over to their table and cleared my throat and when all attention was on me I said 'hi' to them and they said hi in unison.I'm friends with most of them at the table,key word being 'most' so some of them was a bit confused.

"Ahm Tafarie can I talk to you for a bit?"I asked and he shoved the girl from off his lap and started to walk with me.When we reached somewhere quiet enough I started to speak.

"So am having this sleepover Friday night to Sunday morning at my place and I was thinking if you wanted to come?"His face looked surprised and I couldn't blame him since the only thing I ever really do is neglect and ignore him.

"Yah.....sure yea I'll come"he rubbed his hands through his hair and its a sign that he's nervous.

Tafarie's POV:

I pinched myself to see if I was dreaming which I wasn't.The girl I like,like really like finally say something nice to me and to make it nicer she invited me to her sleepover,at her house.

"Okay good it starts at five in the evening and it ends early Sunday morning."Her lips they were so breath taking,I just wanna hold her in my arms and kissed her and never stop.She's just so innocent,so pure,so sweet.I think I might be drooling lol.

"Okay" I said to her indicating that she should continue.

"You won't have any need to carry anything much,since we have practically everything at my house but your personal things you must carry.Don't worry about sheets and toiletries and those stuff."she handed me a piece of paper and before I could ask her what is it for she speak again."I need you to make a list of everything you're allergic to and what you might not eat"

"Now?"I asked raising an eyebrow.

"No not now,but just ensure that I get it before I start practice."

"Kool,so how many of us will be there?"

"Each of my friends will be bringing two friends so I guess twenty one of us"

"Ok good"she gave me a genuine smile and then she left.

By the time I made it over to my friends the bell had rang so Mario and I headed for class.
