"Since when were you so intimidating?" Derek asked his best friend once they were out of the school.

"I told you, high school Charlie glowed up." Charlie grinned.

"And he's back." Derek rolled his eyes unlocking his car, "You've been spending to much time with Melanie."

_

"Remember the days you didn't have abs?" Emilia smirked, leaning back against the staircase as Derek did pull ups on one of the beams.

"I choose not to." Derek responded, jumping down from the beam.

"But thats when you met me." Emilia frowned as Derek walked towards her, trying not to stare at his body.

"I might make an exception, just for you." Derek chuckled, turning to face the doorway "Do you hear that?"

Emilia walked away from Derek, running back into his arms like she had saw a ghost once she stopped the three hunters approaching.

"Hey, it's okay." Derek comforted, holding onto Emilia gently as she ran into him.

"Hunters." Emilia whispered, dragging Derek further into the house.

"He wants us to wait." one of the hunters told Kate, walking towards the house.

"So I've been reminded - To death." Kate complained, twirling the shock stick in her hand.

"And that means we're not allowed to kill him." the same hunter stated.

"But it doesn't mean we can't say hello." Kate smirked, entering the house.

"No one home." the other hunter pointed out, walking through the remains of the living room .

"Oh, he's here. He's just not feeling particularly hospitable." Kate replied, crossing her arms as she thought of something to lure Derek out.

"Maybe he's out burying a bone in the backyard." the first hunter joked, inspecting his gun.

"Really? A dog joke? We're going there, and that's the best you got? If you wanna provoke him, say something like, 'too bad your sister 'bit it' before she had her first litter.'" Kate started, leaning against the wall.

"Derek, don't." Emilia whispered, gripping onto Derek's arm as she tried to move.

"Too bad she howled like a bitch when we cut her in half!" Emilia looked up at Derek sadly, clutching onto his hand as she watched his anger rise "Such as shame Emilia isn't with the rest of your family in the ground!"

Derek's anger would always go crazy when someone talked badly about his family, but when Emilia's mentioned it sends him over the edge. Derek pulled away from Emilia, running into the room growling at the hunters as Kate electrocuted him whilst he tried to take her down.

"This one grew up in all the right places. I don't know whether to kill it or lick it." Kate admitted, letting out a slow chuckle as she heard a growl behind her "Uh oh, did i anger mama bear?"

Emilia stood behind Kate, pushing her against the wall as she turned before her body fell to the ground next to Derek after Kate electrocuted her.

"900,000 volts. You never were good with electricity, were you? Or fire." Kate mentioned, looking down at the scar running across Emilia's arm "Which is why I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. And, well, maybe we can help each other out. Yes, your sister was severed into pieces and used as bait to try to catch you two. Unpleasant, and frankly, a little too Texas chainsaw massacre for my taste, but quite true. Now, here's the part that might really kick you in your balls - We didn't kill her. You think I'm lying?"
