Jungkook's POV

"So, are you going to do it? It's for a great cause!" The principal asked for the fifth time now, batting her clumpy eyelashes together.

I didn't know what to do, so I kept on staying quiet. Her two daughters were beside her eyeing me which made me even more uncomfortable. I squirmed in my seat, not wanting to tell SOPA's principal that my schedule was packed enough, and I did not have the time to sing at a children's hospital fundraiser. It made me sound horrible and that's how I felt.

It's hasn't even been a year since entering SOPA and I've already come accustomed to so much: avoiding as much eye contact as possible, avoid pictures, eating inside the company van instead of the cafeteria, making up different ways to maneuver through the school to get to my classes without being seen by so many people, and remaining silent when asked favors or questions. It was tiresome already, but I was determined to graduate from SOPA like how my hyungs already graduated from high school a long time ago. As ecstatic as I was to begin my education here in the beginning, my hopes are seemingly depleting.

I eventually got to leave her office and the unblinking duo after I nervously smiled and said: "I'll talk to my manager." They took this as already confirmed.

I sighed in relief when I closed the door behind me and darted to the school's library. This was after school so I was able to go unnoticed by wearing a huge hoodie and mask, while taking a longer, less occupied path.

Strolling into the quiet space, I checked my surroundings. The library was empty except for one young person at the front desk. She was nose-deep in a book and I deemed her as harmless considering she and I were the only ones in here. Though, I kept my disguise on in case she took pictures without me knowing.

I walked to the table at the far end of the library, now waiting for Moonbin and Mingyu to arrive. The three of us planned to meet in the library after school to catch up without being trampled. I was half an hour early because I couldn't think of anywhere else to run to before that lady or her daughters chased after me. Luckily for me, the library was vacant except for that one girl with her book.

She was still too consumed with it that she didn't even notice my presence, or cared when my chair scraped against the wood floor. Even from the distance I could see her clearly. The paleness of her skin made her glisten in the sunlight from the windows. Her long brown hair was up in ponytail and she wore a black cap. Her eyes were all I could see as she wore a white mask. Those eyes were intensely glued to the pages of the... Korean history book? Odd. I chuckled a little as to how intrigued she was by a social studies book.

Realizing what I was doing, I looked away and lowered my hood. Why was I staring? What if a fan saw that? If that was caught on camera, it would have definitely be bad news for me and causing trouble for the group.

After a few minutes passed, I was getting drowsy. This whole month was dedicated to promotions, rehearsals, concerts, fan meets, and interviews. I loved being a part of a successful boy group, but sometimes I need to rest and I'm sure the others feel the same way.

Being in this quiet, stress-free room made me feel relaxed. I took off my mask and took a deep breath of the scent of books. The sun's light was dimmed by the shades on this end of the library. The library was not even dusty, it was maintained well. Taking one more glance at the girl and seeing she still payed no interest to me, I laid my head on the wooden table in front of me. I had removed my sweater and mask because they were bothersome.

I guess I would take a nap while I waited for my friends to appear.
