THUMP! "Ugh, what happened," I said while rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I looked around and noticed I was back in my room. I rubbed my temples trying to remember what happened. I remember fighting everyone and then just blacking out.
I slowly got out of bed but tripped on something. I got up and brushed myself off and looked beside me. To only see a sleeping jack on the floor. I shook his shoulder and called his name.
"Jack wake up!".
He shot up but a little too quickly because he bumped his head on the bed. He brushed himself off and held his head with a red face.
"What are you doing in my room? "
"I-i uh was just checking on you. I wanted to make sure you were OK" he said blushing madly. I smiled and gave him a hug. He slowly wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in tighter.
"Thanks, frosty, that means a lot," I said and separated from him. He looked quite disappointed but I didn't pay any attention to it. I looked down at my tattered clothes and frowned. 'This was one of my favorite outfits' I sighed.
"Jack you can leave if you want I'll be right back." I said and went into the bathroom for a shower. Once I was done with my 25-minute bath I exited the bathroom to only meet a red-faced blue-eyed boy staring at me. I looked down confused but I realized I was only in a towel.

I sighed and began walking out of the room. Jack ran up behind me and started talking about random stuff from his friends and how he became a guardian. I heard a faint sound and I swiftly turned around and covered his mouth and listened closely. It sounded like a snake. I looked around to see where it was coming from. Something told me to look up so I did, there hanging from the ceiling was a black mamba ready to strike jack.
I quickly shot it. It turned into black sand and withered away. I sighed knowing it was my fathers work. Jack had a shocked face knowing he could of died.
"Jack make sure you survey your surroundings" I said sighing. He nodded slowly and stood close by me as we walked away from the scene.
