The trip to New York City was amazing, the main reason they went to NYC was for Shelbie's birthday, but you can't not go to New York and sight see. So, they did many things for their week-long trip. They went on the boardwalk, were tourists on Times Square and went to many delicious restaurants. But the funniest had been what they came to New York City in the first place, the tradition they had since they were born. On every birthday of either Abby or Shelbie's, they went to Broadway to see a musical. This year for Shelbie's birthday she had chosen Phantom of the Opera and it had been everything both girls had hoped it would be. Abby had left her phone off for the whole week and it had been a relief to not talk to Chris. She knew that sounded bad, but she felt like he changed lately and couldn't understand why. She hoped things would be different when she got back home. Abby thought about this on the plane trip home. When they finally got home, she decided maybe it was time to turn her phone on. She was overwhelmed by all the texts and missed calls from Chris. Then the last one pissed her off.

Chris: Abby, this is bullshit! You need to answer my texts and calls! I don’t care what you are doing, but you better stop ignoring me!

Abby had it; she grabbed her car keys and purse and headed out of the house into her car. She drove out of the driveway towards Chris'. She wasn't gonna put up with this shit anymore! She had had enough. She went a little over the speed limit and reached Chris' house in no time. She jumped out of her car, pissed off and knocked on his door. When he opened the door she stormed into the house before he could even say hello.

 "Are you ok Abby?"

"Am I ok? Really Chris! I can't believe you have the nerve to ask me that!!"

 "What's wrong Abby?

"What's wrong? What is wrong is you! You fucking texted and called me a million times while I was in New York! I'm so fucking sick of your obsessiveness and jealousy! I'm allowed to go do things with people and do things without you!" She yelled at him. It felt so good to get all that out. All of a sudden she felt a sting on her face. Her face whipped to the side. He had just slapped her! She turned toward him, "How dare you! Don't you ever fucking touch me again." She said with venom in her voice and walked towards the door. She was almost out the door when he grabbed her by her arm and yanked her back, then threw her on the ground. She stared up at him with a shocked expression on her face. She got up and he shoved her down and she hit her head on the wall behind her. Blood began to seep from the back of her head. She took her hand and felt the back of her head, when she brought it back to her face there was a lot of blood on her hand, "oh my god... Look what you did to me." She whispered because she didn't have the energy to yell or talk above a whisper and she was afraid. Tears formed in her eyes and fell down her face. He was glaring at her and she was afraid of what he was gonna do next.

 "Get up! Now!"

She stared at him for a second and then slowly got up, her knees shaking. "W-what d-d-do you want from me?" her voice shook.

"I want you to shut up for a minute," he yelled. "Don’t you ever tell me what to do or say again! You think your all high and mighty just because you went to New York and were around your family, well you’re fucking not! You’re still the sad, pathetic girl you have always been! Do you understand?"

She shook her head, the tears coming faster. She didn't like this side of him. Just then he punched her in the face and she fell on the ground. She felt him kicking her and punching her face. Then he made her get up and threw her down the stairs. Half way down the stairs she blacked out.

She opened her eyes and saw Chris standing over her with a worried expression on his face. Her head was throbbing and her whole body ached.

"Ohh my gosh, I'm so happy your ok!" He kissed her forward.

"Get away from me... Don't touch me..." She whispered.

"Abby I'm sorry... please forgive."

She turned away from him, she didn't have anything to do with him anymore, " I don't think we should be together anymore."

"Why?"

"Look what you did to me!"

" I didn't mean to!"

"That doesnt matter."

"You can't leave me! No one wants you! Your just a dumb ass whore! I'm the only guy who wants you."

"That's not true! Plenty of guys want me..." She said, but after it left her mouth she started to wonder if any guy would want her.

"Plus, if you try to leave me I will hurt you more than I did today!"

Abby slipped in her house without anyone noticing, they were all asleep. She crept up the stairs, but every step was more painful then the last. She went in her bedroom bathroom and turned on the hot water in the tub. When it was filled up, she undressed and climbed in. His threat kept echoing through her head. Plus, if you try to leave me, I will hurt you more than I did today! He scared her tonight. He had done little things to her before, but it was never this bad... She was scared... She wanted to leave him, but was scared to. She didn't want him to hurt her and she loved him. She knew he loved her too, maybe this was his way of showing her he loved her.

She stayed in the tub until the water turned cold, then got changed into some pajamas and went to sleep. Sleep was really hard because everytime she moved just a tiny bit it hurt like hell. A couple of times she would wake up and just cry form the pain. She stayed in bed all day the next day and told her mom and Shelbie that she wasn't feeling good and they believed her. They brought her up breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chris texted and called her, but she didn't bother answering any of them, she didn't want to talk to him at all. She stayed in bed for the next week, until finally the bruises had faded and it wasn't painful to move anymore.

"Hey Abby, wait up." Chris called after her in the school hallway.

She kept walking pretending that she didn't hear him, she wasn't ready to forgive him yet. He grabbed her by the hand, "Abby!"

She turned to him, "What?!"

"Why have you been ignoring my calls and texts? I miss you Abs... talk to me." he looked at her pleading.

Her eyes softened, " I'm not ready to forgive you yet. I don't to talk to you." She shook her arm free drom his grasp and walked away.

"Abby!"

She didn't even turn to look at him.

"Abby, are you ok?"

Abby looked up from her plate and looked at her mom and saw that everyone was looking at her.

"What? Oh yes I'm fine. Why?"

"You've been distracted all week. I've been trying to get your attention for 10 minutes."

"Oh, sorry Mom... I just... got a lot on my mind."

"What's on your mind?"

"Nothing. Can I just be excused. I'm kind of tired I wanna go to bed."

"Sure." Her mother looked at her confused.

Should I forgive him? I really do love him... I dont think he meant to hurt me, it was probably a mistake. Abby layed on her bed thinking about what to do with Chris. She loved him so much, she wasn't ready to break up with him. She knew what she was gonna do.

"Hello." Chris answered his phone on the first ring.

"Chris, I've decided what I'm going to do..."

"What's that?" He was nervous about what her answer was gonna be.

"I've decided I still wanna be with you."
