Alice's Sacrifice

Chapter 1

It was a normal day for Mana Aida. Right now she was at the park hanging out with her best friend Rikka Hishikawa. "What a beautiful day today!" said Mana as she was stretching. "The weather has been great lately huh Rikka." Mana continued looking towards her friend "Yeah it has been. Though with all the training we've done lately, it's been more of a pain in the neck." Rikka bluntly stated. "Well unless you want to get yourself killed then I suggest you stop complaining." Aguri said popping up from behind Mana and Rikka holding Ai. Startled Rikka jumped a little at Aguri's surprise entrance. "Gah! Aguri don't sneak up on me like that!" Rikka yelled at Aguri. "Then next time observe what's going on around you." Aguri said smiling and couldn't help but laugh a little. "Hey Aguri! Hey Ai! What's up?" Mana said with her usual cheery voice." "Not much, I was bored and decided to hang out with you guys." Aguri said with her hands behind her head. "Hang on, where are Alice and Makoto? I thought they'd be here with you guys." asked Aguri realizing the 2 girls absences. "Makoto is working on some stuff for her next concert." Raquel said flying out of Rikka's bag. "As for Alice she's probably working on something for her father's company." Right as Raquel finished Sharuru came flying out of Mana's bag. "Mana! I can hear the dark heartbeat of a Jikochuu!" Sharuru said urgently. "What?! Where?" the pink haired girl asked her partner.  "In the center of town! We've got to hurry!" the pink rabbit-like pixie shouted. Rikka quickly turned towards her pixie partner saying, "Raquel, call Alice and Makoto and tell them there is a Jikochuu in the center of town!" "On it!" Raquel said as he turned into what looked like a phone. "Don't just stand there lets go!" yelled Aguri. With that the 3 girls run to the center of town as fast as they could.
The center of town was in chaos. People were running as fast as they could to get away from the Jikochuu. It looked like a giant syringe. There were also 2 girls in the middle of the chaos. One of the girls had bright orange eyes and hair. Her hair is quite long in length and is pulled into thick curled pigtails with two smaller curls on top of each side, looking somewhat like a heart. Each pigtail is held with a clover shaped hair clip, attached to gold leafy bows, each with a single strand hanging from it. She also has clover earrings. Her yellow dress has white going down the center, with lining of mint. She has a heart shaped, golden brooch lined with a mint leaf border to match her fluffy choker and bow. The skirt is shaped like a three-layer tutu over a frilly white petticoat. The top layer is yellow and white, while the second layer is pale yellow and the bottom layer is white and resembles a flower. Her white boots have a mint lining and a yellow center, and toe. A yellow bow is attached to each side of the boot. On her right side there is an object, that resembles a phone, and has a little bear head on it. The second girl has light purple eyes. Her hair is lilac, having several curled strands. Its also shoulder length hair with two thick curls held in a ponytail, and a single forelock curling down to her chest. She wears an indigo spade hair clip and a purple ribbon attached to a white feathery hair piece. She wears purple spade earrings and a lilac choker. Her dress is lilac and white with the pale lilac skirt cut at a slant over a frilly petticoat. An amethyst heart shaped brooch is attached to the left of her chest with a purple cloth hanging from it. The sleeves are feathery, with the one on the left much larger than the one on the right. A feathery purple bow is on her right hip, while covering her arms are lilac sleeves with white lining and a light indigo bow. Her lilac boots are lined in purple with a white heel and a pointed toe. On her right side, hangs an object, that also resembles a phone, and has what looks like a cat face on it. "We can't keep this up much longer, Cure Rosetta!" said the purple haired girl narrowly avoiding one of the Jikochuu's attacks. "Don't give up yet Cure Sword the others should be on their way!" said Cure Rosetta struggling to catch her breath. "Well it better be soon. Besides even though you don't want to admit it, you and I both know we can't keep this up forever." Cure Sword shouted right before she tripped and fell on the road. "Crap!" While Cure Sword was defenseless the Jikochuu took the opportunity to attack her. "Look out!" Cure Rosetta shouted as she quickly set a barrier right in front of Cure Sword. "I can't hold it much longer!" stated Cure Rosetta struggling to keep her barrier up. When the barrier was about to break a very familiar voice shouted, "Diamond Shower!" After that a big wave a diamonds hit the Jikochuu freezing its arm. Cure Rosetta turned around to see 3 girls. The one who saved her had bright blue eyes and long pale indigo hair. Her hair is worn in a thick, high ponytail with a curl on the end to match the four separate curls hanging from it, two of which are thicker than the others. She wears blue diamond shaped earrings, and a small ice-blue brim on her head, lined in dark blue to match the diamond in the center, lined with feathery white material. Her ice-blue dress is shorter in front than in the back with a pale blue feathery material around the bottom of the skirt and the shoulders. Around the torso is dark blue and white lining, along with a dark blue heart-shaped brooch attached to a white border and cloth, along with a light blue bow on the right. Her skirt is shaped to reveal a layered skirt beneath it, with dark blue short-like pants underneath. She had white shoes with a loose, pale blue cuff and a thin yellow band around the ankle, where a small white flap is located. Each wrist has a yellow bracelet to match her choker. On her right side, hangs an object, that looks like a phone, and has what looks like a dog face on it. Cure Rosetta recognized her as Cure Diamond. The girl next to her has light pink eyes and blonde hair, with two small buns on her head, similar to bunny ears, or a heart shape, a curly mullet below her head and one big ponytail behind it. She wears two pink heart-shaped earrings, white & pink colored accessories in her hair, also in a heart shape, a small pink choker, pink arm warmers with magenta hearts and white & pink colored boots with magenta colored hearts. She has pink, and white (and with a little light blue) colored dress with a magenta heart on her chest and a rose red colored ribbon on her chest. She also has a few frills under her dress and dark pink short-like pants underneath. On her right side hangs an object that looks exactly like the other girls but with what looks like a rabbit's head on it. Cure Rosetta recognized her as Cure Heart. The 3rd girl had bright magenta eyes while her hair was light red, worn in thick curled drills. Her bangs were short and brushed to the side, while her long curly forelocks reached her mid-torso. She wore a white and gold ribbon attached to a headband, red earrings, lipstick and eye shadow. She wears a flowing white outfit lined in red with pale pink coloring on the inside, matching the bow on the back of the torso and her sleeve cuffs. Her dress is shaped to reveal a shorter maroon and black dress over a white flowery petticoat. On each wrist was a white feathery wristlet attached to a red strap. She had white and red boots with a pointed toe and heel. She also wears a gold necklace to match the gold heart brooch on her chest. Cure Rosetta recognized her as Cure Ace. "Well it's about time you guys got here!" Cure Sword shouted but looked relieved to see her friends there. "Sorry but the people in a panic kinda kept us up." Cure Heart said smiling. "Guys that ice isn't gonna last forever!" Cure Diamond shouted. After she said that the Jikochuu's arm unfroze. It swung its arm, hitting each of the pretty cures. The 5 pretty cures were swept off their feet and hit the hard ground. Seeing the pretty cures down the Jikochuu threw something that looked like a needle straight for Cure Ace. "Ace look out!" Cure Heart and Diamond shouted, too far away to get to their friend in time, and Cure Sword, who was exhausted before the others came, was struggling to get up. "Get out of the way!" Cure Rosetta shouted right before she tackled Cure Ace covering her from the attack. Unfortunately they didn't get out of the way in time, having the needle stab Cure Rosetta in the back of her neck. She gasped in pain as the needle hit her. "Alice!" Cure Ace shouted after recovering from being tackled. "Are you okay?!" she asked with fear and concern in her voice. "I-I'm okay. It just stung a little." Cure Rosetta reassured her friend. "Heart Shoot!" "Sparkle sword!" Cure Heart and the recovered Cure Sword shouted. The 2 attacks hit the Jikochuu, purifying it. After that the center of town quickly turns back to normal and the girls transform back to their normal selves. "Whew! That was exhausting! I could sleep for a week!" Makoto said breathing heavily. "Well you better sleep well tonight because training is tomorrow." declared Aguri "Oh come on Aguri! Can't we do it next week." Rikka complained. "No! You saw how we did today it was pathetic! If we don't train we're going to get killed!" Aguri yelled at Rikka. "Hey Alice you okay?" Mana asked as if she didn't hear Aguri or Rikka at all. Alice just smiled and said "Don't worry about me I'm fine. The attack just stung a little. It was probably just a fluke. Anyways it's getting late and I have to get going. Bye!" And with that Alice started running towards her house. "Alice! Wait-. "Let her go she'll be fine. I didn't see any wound where she got hit so you don't need to worry." Aguri said stopping Mana before she could stop Alice. "Well if you say so Aguri." I really hope you're right. Mana thought before saying her goodbye to the others before leaving towards her house.
Little did they know that a poison was now in Alice's body and what effects it would cause.
