"How do you know I'm not big?"

A pepsi flavored mist violently sprayed out my mouth as my best friend Kiara grabbed her chest sliding down onto the carpet borderline deceased.

Just in case you didn't get the memo....yeah we were into kpop.

No scratch that...we LIVED for kpop.

My little sister Sunny observed the scene of us unfold with a look of utter confusion before pausing her music taking out her headphones.

"Y'all really get this hyped over a bunch of singing chinese niggas?"

"First of all, they're korean not chinese. You wouldn't want someone mistaking your ethnicity" I corrected her ignorant self. "But how could you not? They're fucking amazing for crying out loud" Kiara added biting her lips at Jackson Wang's fine ass.

Sunny rolled her eyes.

"Don't you got homework to do? You've been on that damn phone since you came over" I asked her.

"Well I thought we were gonna chill and shit but since I've been here you two have been fangirling nonstop. Yeah it's cute but black men be hitting for me".

"Now you know I love me some chocolate but I also appreciate all the other shades in the rainbow" Kiara sassed her. I gave her an approving look. This why we best friends.

Sunny playfully rolled her eyes plugging back in her headphones as Kiara paused the show standing to her feet.

"Why'd you pause it?"

Kiara stood in front of me with a dumb smile on her face that placed me on edge for what she was about to say.

"Remember around ten years ago when we randomly signed up for Pen pals on that website?"

"Uh yeah my pen pal was some sicko pretending to be a fourteen-". "Not going into that!" She dismissed with an unwavering smile.

"Do you remember my pen pal Boyoung?".

"....Um yeah..." I answered skeptically at the distant memory. "Wait you still keep up with her?" Alright so Boyoung was Kiara's pen pal since we were adolescents in which they've forged a stable relationship and have been communicating ever since. Boyoung's South Korean heritage is the very reason how and why we're into kpop. In recent years Kiara barely mentioned her but it appears as if their friendship has grown even deeper over the years.

And I would be lying right now if I said I didn't feel any type of way about it.

"Of course. She's pretty chill and we finally got to meet in the spring when you went on vacation with Sunny and Mama Tia. She actually made the effort to fly out to Atlanta to meet in person after all these years. She told me we can stay by her place anytime we decide to visit Korea-".

"And you're just now telling me this?" I scoffed. "Let me explain myself real quick" Kiara begged.

"Like I was saying, Boyoung just moved into this dope ass apartment in Seoul. Her family is the owner of some huge adversiting company so she got money...so I really want to visit this summer after you graduate".
