Chapter 35

"I can't believe that you guys are leaving already," Danger said as he, Arthur, and I walked to the spaceport together. "I'm going to miss you so much."

"We'll miss you too, Danger," I said.

"I don't know what I'll do without you, Danger," Arthur said as he looked into his boyfriend's eyes. "Algebra class will be so lonely without you."

Danger shrugged. "Algebra is the worst," he said. "I doubt that I was making it much better."

"You were definitely making it better," Arthur said.

"Well, you can always send me a long, passionate letter detailing your intense hatred of mathematics," Danger said. "I'll just send you one in reply detailing my intense hatred of the fact that I can't get my pilot's license yet, and then once I get my license, I'll come to Earth and visit you."

"Couldn't I just call you?" Arthur said.

"Don't be silly," Danger said. "Interplanetary phone calls are way too expensive as it is, and they're even worse if they're out of the system."

"I guess I'll just have to write you then, but how will I be able to get it to Gwydion?" Arthur asked.

"A messenger ship arrives on Earth every week or so to collect and deliver mail," Danger explained. "I'm not sure where the extraterrestrial mail station closest to you would be, but I know there's one in Roswell."

"So that's what happened in Roswell!" Arthur exclaimed.

Danger nodded. "An Earthling spotted one of the messenger ships back in 1947, leading to a lot of conspiracy theories back on Earth. There was some talk of moving the mail station, but the Interplanetary Mail Service decided to keep it in place. I heard about it in Earth Studies class."

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" Arthur asked.

Danger shrugged. "It was cute watching you speculate," he said.

"Well, now I have my proof that the Roswell incident really was a UFO," Arthur said. "Thanks Danger!"

"You're welcome, Arthur," Danger said as he gave Arthur a smile.

"Wait, Danger, what else do you know?" Arthur asked. "Are there aliens at Area 51 too? Did you guys build the pyramids? What about Stonehenge? Did you build that too?"

Danger laughed and shook his head. "I don't know, Arthur," he said. "I'm not even sure what Stonehenge is!"

"It's a monument back on Earth that Arthur apparently thinks was built by aliens," I explained.

"It's true!" Arthur exclaimed. "I have proof."

"Arthur, just because I know about Roswell doesn't mean I know everything," Danger said as we approached the spaceport. "I'll keep an eye out for the Illuminati though."

"Okay, thanks Danger," Arthur said.

The three of us stepped up to a counter, where I presented our tickets to an older woman with pink hair. She inspected the tickets and then said, "Your flight will be taking off from Launch Pad #28."

"Thank you," I said as we walked towards the launch pad.

Before long, we were there, ready to leave. "Goodbye, Nora and Arthur," Blaze said as she rested on Danger's shoulder. "It's been nice getting to know you."

"It's been nice knowing you too, Blaze," I said as she rolled over and I stroked her belly for the last time.

"Really, Nora?" Blaze said. "Was that necessary? You could disrupt my systems by doing that."
