Chapter 25

August
"I can't believe this happened to her, It's should've been be." I said holding on to her hand as she laid on the bed
"August she's gonna be fine she a strong women I promise you she is we just have to pray." Ashanti's Mom said rubbing my back and wiped her tears
The doctor walked in and everyone looked up.
"So great news everyone Ashanti is going to be fine luckily when we were doing the surgery the bullet didn't go to far so it was easy to get out but she did loose a lot of blood. Also she is in a coma so it's her choice if she wants to wake up or not, It could be weeks,months,or even years until she wakes up." He said and everyone nodded "Also there is a few Police officers outside to ask any witnesses that seen what happened, so is there anyone who was there and would like to go." He said again
"I'll go." Kayla said standing up and giving Hayden to Taylor and walked out with the doctor.
1 month later
It's been a month and Shanti still hasn't woke up yet. I been here as long as I can just to be here to see if she wakes or not but nothing they talking about pulling her plug but I'm not letting that happen. Also Hayden's been crying none stop for Ashanti every time I bring her here and she just lays on her and tries to wake her up
Ashanti
I saw a bright light and my Great Grandmother appeared. I ran to her and hugged her
"Honey what are you doing here?" She said
"I don't know I don't remember." I said
"You need to go back and be with your family, They need you especially your baby and August you can't just leave them now go on I don't want to see you here in a very long time." She said as her voice faded and then she disappeared
I slowly opened my eyes and saw my baby girl laying on me I slowly moved my arm and ran my fingers through her head and she lifted her head and she smiled. I looked over and August was laying his head down on the bed . I lifted my hand and touched his braids and he lifted his head really fast and he looked like he's been crying. I smiled and then he smiled and then hugged me and held me for a really long time. A tear rolled down my cheek I missed him so much.
"Don't do that no mo'." He said as he let go
I chuckled and then he went to go get the doctor I guess. He walked back in and the Doctor walked in behind him.
"Ah look who's awake, how you feeling?" He said
"Good I guess." I said still barley remembering what happened
"Great, so since your awake we can get you your medicine which is gonna be pain medication and some antibiotics and also your gonna have to stay here for a few more hours so we can make sure your safe to go home. I nodded and then he walked out.
"August." I said softly
"Yeah?" He said looking at me
"What happened?" I said
"You don't remember?" He said
I shook my head no then he told me but I just can't remember but I said okay anyway.
A few minutes passed and the doctor came back and gave me my medicine and made me take some just for now because I started hurting then he left out again.
As the hours passed my mom, Taylor, Kirko , Kayla, Kennedy, Chris, and even Dario came. They all  came after each other. After they left I slowly got sad because I just realized something.
"What wrong baybeh?" August asked
"I just realized how my sister didn't come see me at all, I could've been dead  and she wouldn't even care." I said as my eyes started getting watery
August got up and sat on the bed and held me right when tears fell down my face.
"Don't worry bout dat ya already got so much stuff going on witcha' ya don't needa be stressin' ya self bout nun else." He said wiping my tears
I nodded my head and we just sat there and looked at the tv.
A hour later the doctor came back and gave us the release papers to sign and we left and went home. As soon as I got upstairs I laid on the bed and was out like a light.
