Your father, the General George Washington stood at the door, kissing and hugging you and your mother, Martha Washington. He was going to fight in the Revolutionary war against England. You were proud of him, yet disagreed. It was dangerous. Guns, war, et cetera. Your mother cried whereas you were just on the verge of tears. Why? You were going to see him again, shortly for sure. However neither of your parents knew that.

Disguising as a man to fight in the war. Smart yet risky plan. But you like to focus on the smart part. Blood, sweat and tears, they say. And lies. However the last part applied to you only. But why would you do that? The answer is obvious. So you wouldn't have to worry about your father. You would see him there. And that would comfort you. No matter how risky it was for someone like yourself to be injured in the war. On the plus side, you were a supporter of American independence. Seeing your father, being one of the first to hear news about him was all you cared about.

To your convenience, although unnecessary, during your childhood and adolescence, your father would train you on everything. How to fight and shoot guns and stuff. But neither he nor your mother knew how that would be of complete usefulness now.

"'Til we meet again, father." You smiled at him. He chuckled and lightly ruffled you hair.

"I promise, I will be alive and well to see you again. Martha, Y/N..." He looked at you both as you looked into his eyes. "I love you," he continued and kissed you both on the forehead.

You watched as he walked off, his figure getting smaller until he disappeared into the distance.

"Mother, I'm going into my room," you declared. You rushed to your room and hurried in wounding up your chest with bandages and hurriedly put on your father's old uniform, navy coat, white pants, black boots and all. You tied your mid-length wavy h/c hair into a ponytail, praying it wasn't the girl hair length standard. After, you found yourself checking your new masculine appearance.

When your mother was not in sight, you ran for it, after taking guns belonging to your father. Reminder - war, so better not leave that behind, you thought. You had then escaped, and it was a blur from the trip from home to your destination. Your new home. With your beloved father.

Sue me, it was really short. But I think it's off to an okay-ish start. Maybe. Idk, tell me your thoughts (in the form of comments and votes?) and more will be coming soon, I guess. By the time you read this, I probably am writing the next chapter, writing like I'm running out of time. But anyways, hope you like this. I am proud of the plot. Hope you like it too. Cheers. I'm out. Cya :)✌️

Sincerely,
Me
