Ariel Summers was given the unfortunate name Ariel after the mermaid princess, her mother thought it was perfect. Ariel however would beg to differ; with her bright red hair, and love for swimming the name Ariel made her an easy target for bullying...so Ariel started being homeschooled when she was only 7.
However after Ariel's mom passed away when she was 10, her dad couldn't continue to homeschool her so she was launched back into the public school system. Dealing with the loss of her mom and then the torment from the kids at school, swimming was her escape. It helped that their small cottage home was located on the shores of California.
What happens when a strange new guy moves in next door, and there's a possibility she could lose her beach. What is she going to do?
