Andrea's POV- June 2017

"So I take it that Lori isn't coming over?"

I turned to look at Eli who was washing dishes, something I told him not to do.

"Yeah, something came up" I replied.

He chuckled.

"I told you she wasn't going to show"

I sighed, this had gone too long.

"I'm going to talk with her" I began saying.

He began shaking his head.

"You will do no such thing"

"Someone needs to set her straight" I stated.

"You know very well that if you do that, you two will no longer be friends"

The chance of that happening was high. To be honest, I didn't care. Yes, she and Eli were my best friends but if I had to choose I would choose Eli because he was the closest to family.

"It is what it is, let's not try to change it"

I looked at him and bit the inside of my cheek as I nodded.

"You're right" I stated.

He looked at me a bit surprised.

"I am?"

"Yeah, you're too good for her so let her see what she missed out on" I answered.

I proceeded to watch his right eyebrow perk up a bit.

"What are you thinking?"

"I think you should go on a date" I informed him.

I gestured at his phone.

"You obviously got the pretty girl's number, so why not text her back?" I suggested.

He nodded.

"She was a good kisser"

"I say you call her, see how things go from there" I said.

"I'll think about it"

He went back to washing the dishes.

"What time is it?"

"11PM" I responded.

"Is Chris on his way?"

I nodded and smiled as I heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it" I called out.

My phone chimed as I got a text. I grabbed my phone and made my way out of the kitchen. As I walked towards the front door I looked down at my phone. I had a text from Chris,

Just rang the doorbell

I unlocked the door and stepped back as I opened the door. On the other side of the door, stood Chris holding a bouquet of flowers and a gift bag.

"Hey, sorry I'm late"

I shook my head as I stepped forward. He gave me a quick peck before pulling me into a hug.

"Did you watch the game?"

"We did not, but I saw the score" I answered.

He scrunched up his nose a bit and I rubbed his bicep.

"You can't win them all" I told him.

"I know, it just sucks to lose"

He took a deep breath and smiled.
