It was snowing outside after a long night. Tipsy, Mia held her high heels, her toes curling as she touched the frostiness of the ground. She could barely stand on her two feet, and had to support herself by leaning onto her best friend Nina, the two of them tripping over their own feet as they slowly walked towards a bus stop and sat down on a bench. The light breeze gave Mia goosebumps as it touched her bare arms. Only the heat of their bodies were available to provide them warmth.
"What time is it?" Mia mumbled, her hot breath filling the air with a foul scent of mixed booze and random strangers. Scrunching her tinted nose, Nina lazily took her phone out of her clutch, squinting her eyes at the bright screen that temporarily blinded her.
"Ah, 1:30 am. Are you sure there are buses around at this time? I can just call an uber or something. It's kinda empty here."
Nina lifted her head off of her friend's as she looked around the streets; it was lifeless. Only the slight tint of the streetlights illuminated the deserted parking lots. It was usually full of traffic at this time.
The frigid wind whispered into their ears bringing chills to their spines. Both had an unsettling feeling in their stomachs, from the drinks or from the creepy environment.
After waiting for what felt like hours, not one bus came by. Then, a tall figure walked towards them. Slim, but shoulders broad, his face was covered under a hoodie. As he got closer to the girls, Mia noticed how he wore mostly black; a mask, ripped jeans, and a thrasher sweater that had the word "thirteen" printed on it in bright orange letters that gave color to his figure.
Sober Mia would have felt a hint of suspicion seeing the man, but Sober Mia wasn't here today. The only thing in her mind was getting home and taking her tight dress off, not the tall, and somewhat fine dude taking a seat next to her.
"Hey, you two seem cold," the masked boy said.
Mia tried not to laugh at the blunt remark he said. Her buzzed brain made her give in, leading to a laughing fit that shook Nina back awake.
"No shit kid."
"Uhm," the boy's ears were hidden but very red. He hated being called a kid.
"I just wanted to offer you my hoodie, and I'll give your friend my blanket too. I know this sounds awkward but I just want to get rid of some stuff i own. Please."
Well someone's really desperate, Mia thought. She decided to take his offer so he can leave them alone.
The man took his backpack off his shoulders, and took the roll of fluff out. He handed it to Mia, who whispered a 'thank you.' She tucked Nina in who shivered in her sleep.
Without a word, he quickly took off his sweater and handed it to Mia with shaky hands.
He's probably cold too.
She pretended not to see his built and tatted torso underneath his lifted shirt. He stood up and walked away.
"I didn't catch your name," she called out.
"And I didn't throw it," he smirked, back facing her. He turned his head behind to look at her one last time.
"I'm kiddingg, it's Jeon."
And with that, he disappeared into the darkness.
Jeon.
