"Harry!"

Hermione and Ron ran over to their best friend who was walking all alone,  with a frown on his face. As Ron and Hermione approached him, Harry smiled weakly.

"Oh, hello guys." Harry replied weakly.

Hermione immediately noticed something was wrong, she rests her hand on Harry's shoulder with a worried expression obvious painted on her face.

"Harry, is something wrong?" Hermione asked, concern evident in her tone.

"What? No, nothing's wrong." Harry replies quickly, shaking his head before forcing a smile and looking at the ground as he walked.

"Mate, we know when you're lying." Ron muttered, looking into Harry's eyes. "we've been together for years, come on, tell us!"

Harry sighed deeply, crossing his arms. "Fine. Ginny broke up with me. You happy now?"

"Very funny, Harry. You and Ginny are madly in love with each other. There's absolutely no way—"

"She broke up with me because she picked Dean over me! Okay?" Harry blurted out rather angrily, he takes a deep breath before looking down at the ground again. He felt hurt, he thought that everything was fine. But he was wrong.

Ron and Hermione couldn't help but gasp out of shock, they never thought the two would ever break-up, they always knew (or thought they knew) that they were meant to be together. The couple were inseparable, they were always together and showered each other with love.

"Harry, I'm sorry." Hermione says, squeezing his hand gently.

"Mate, do you want me to talk to Ginny?" Ron asks, but Harry politely declined as he shook his head.

"Oh, Harry..." Hermione hugged him before she can even stop herself.

"It's okay, 'Mione." Harry says, patting her in the back while laughing awkwardly.

Suddenly, Ron spots Ginny, snogging Dean not far from them. Hermione followed Ron's gaze and had this murderous look on her face, oh she was furious, and when Hermione Granger is mad, you shouldn't mess witb her.

Harry looked at what the two were staring at. When he saw what they were watching, he immediately looked down at the ground, biting his lip as he fought back tears.

"Harry." Hermione says, putting her hand, once again, on his shoulder.

That's it. Hermione shot a glare at Ginny and speed-walked over to her, with an angry look on her face.

"Oh no." Ron muttered, quickly running after the furious girl while Harry follows from behind.

"Ginny! Dean! Finished snogging the life out of each other?" Hermione looks at Dean and Ginny with pure disgust, and anger.

Dean and Ginny abruptly stopped kissing and looked at Hermione, confusion obvious on their faces.

"Hermione, what are you doing?" Ginny asks, frowning as she stared into her eyes.

"Hermione, let's go." Harry says weakly, struggling to look at the girl he used to love. Ginny looks at Harry and bites her lip out of guilt.

"No, Harry!" she turns back to Ginny. "You don't deserve Harry! He was nothing but kind to you so you have no right to hurt him. Ginny, you're my friend but, you betrayed my best friend. And he's done nothing to you but love you!"

"Stop talking to Ginny like that." Dean told Hermione, holding Ginny's hand.

"Well then, tell your girlfriend to stop breaking Harry's heart!" Hermione fires back.

Students were crowding around them as if this was a romcom.

"Hermione, that's enough." Ron said sternly, looking at all the students watching them.

Hermione glared at Ginny one last time and turned to walk away, grabbing Harry and Ron with her.

Ginny and Dean stared at them, surprised. The students who were watching all left, chattering about what just happened.

Common room

"Hermione, you caused a scene!" Ron says, shaking his head.

Hermione was sitting on the couch near the fireplace and was being scolded by Ron. Oh, how the tables have turned.

Harry, who was standing in front of the fireplace, turned to sit with Hermione on the couch.

"Students watched!" Ron continued, walking around like a lunatic. "If my mum sends me a howler again saying i fought my little sister, i'm going to blame it on you."

"Ron, this is all my fault. I shouldn't have told you guys." Harry adds in, looking at Ron who was pacing around the room.

"No, Harry." Hermione puts her hand on Harry's. "It's not your fault. It's Ginny's fault."

"Whatever." Ron crossed his arms and sat next to Harry and Hermione.

"Thanks Hermione. You didn't have to do that." Harry whispers to Hermione's ears which sent shivers down her spine.

"It's nothing. And I did have to. You're my best friend." Hermione whispered back, smiling lightly.

Harry beams at her, Hermione rests her head on Harry's shoulder, which she always did.

"Ginny's a cold heartbreaker." Hermione mutters.
