She had been closely studying the case for the past three days, attending meetings with the team and filling in some paperwork that Mr. Younus had asked her for. One thing was constantly clicking at the back of her mind though, the criminal's name wasn't being revealed nor did the plaintiff's; the one who had filed the case.

Even upon pointing it out by one of the lawyers in a meeting, Younus had waved it off saying that this wasn't the time for bio-data and that a criminal is a criminal; has no name or religion. It must have seemed purely out of place to everyone else since identity is the only thing for any legal procedure to work through, but knowing how well sculpted he was with every case, always getting the ball in his court, no one dared to argue. He was simply the best attorney in the country. Pfft.

After some deep concentration, she finally finished her final report, proofread for errors, once satisfied, she hit the print command. Walking over to the main printer hub at the corner of the huge room filled with office cubicles, she found the mystery guy near the software engineer's desk, bent over and roughly copying down something on a piece of paper from his phone. It was the first time she had seen him in three days, after the introductory meeting. Why was he always roaming around in a lawyer's firm doing the most random things?

She drummed her fingers on the cold marble stand and waited as some sheets lazily slid down the printer's mouth, her eyes stole quick nervous glances towards the reception at the back. She secured her document with a stapler and strolled back to her cabin, pretending to dig her nose into the file to read when all she did was look at him from the corner of her eye.

She was inches away from passing behind his back when she gasped under her breath, "Oh my gosh!"

This was it!

Now, she was too damn sure that he was the same stalker all those years ago. The small ear stud shaped into a yin yang in his left ear was the only proof that she could be so sure about it. She couldn't go wrong about this one, nope, never. He had stalked her on the plane to Swat, on the highway when Aleesha and she were driving back from Peshawar and not so coincidentally, he was also the same guy in the police car in Istanbul.

The clear flashbacks made her head spin, not the last flashback though because it was blurry. What was happening? She didn't know. She didn't even want an atom of her past opening up and ruining her perfect life, right now.

She slammed the file on her desk and with a speed of lightning; she raced back to where he stood, nodding and smiling at the geeky software professional. Her face was red with suppressed rage, her teeth gritted from an effort to remain silent.

Letting out a big blow of breath, she clenched her fists tightly and opened them again to calm her nerves. "Hello?" she croaked.

The guy was nearly bald, huge with bulky muscles and had a height of a street lamp! She could remember he had been wearing a bandanna in his long hair the first two times she had seen him as a stalker and also had a beard which was gone with his hair. Wearing a plaid blue shirt and black dress pants, he appeared to be a pretty decent man.

Hmm. A major change of avatar, she wondered.

"How may I help you, Ma'am?" he asked, a little startled, but politely.

She gave him a big sarcastic smile, "No, how may I help you?" careful to keep her voice low from attracting an audience.

"I'm sorry-"

"No, I'm sorry!"

The young programmer named, AdhiRaj was moving his head back and forth from both of their faces, too baffled to get about his work. She could also sense some other heads turning their way since she barely ever interacted with any of her peers. This was a first time, so obviously, the curiosity level was touching the sky!
