Zain didn't go back to sleep in after subh prayer as she normally does due to the big day she has ahead of her. She first went up straight to her mother's room to greet her.
"Assalamualaikum, good morning Mama"
"Waalaikumussalam good morning Zainab, how are you doing?"
"Fine Alhamdulillah" she said with her face full of smiles even though she was full of nerves. But her mother saw it right through her how nervous she was.

"You look tensed."
Her mother said studying her face as she  her a cup of the coffee she just poured from the thermo flask.

"Yes i am very nervous. I can't believe it's obvious like that Mama. I just hope it's not a bad sign ".
Zain said taking a long sip from her steaming coffee.

"It's normal for a bride to feel that way on her wedding day. Don't jinx the day by thinking something bad will happen, everything will go as smooth as a baby's behind". Her mom chuckled.

"I pray so." Zain mumbled enough for her mother to hear.

The mother and daughter talked for a few more minutes and finally Zainab's mother left the room to the kitchen make breakfast for her husband and their guests  while Zain dashed back into her room where she heard her phone blaring loudly. She knows it's definitely Malik, her husband to be calling. She picked up the phone with a giant grin on her face. She has been with him long enough but she still gets a familiar feeling in her chest when ever she sees his name appear on her phone from either a call or a text.

"Hello wife to be in a few " she heard Malik say from the other side. She couldn't help her grin getting wider  when she heard him say that. She could never get used to him she thought.

"And hello to you too husband to be in a few" , she responded  her tone matching his except with a little bit of shyness.

"So how did you sleep? And how are you feeling about the biggest and most important day of our lives?" He asked.

"Alhamdulillah" she said "but i feel nervous.. I don't know why. My mom said It's normal for a bride to be nervous on her big day" she added with a nervous laugh.

"Well... It's true. I'm nervous too,a little bit" Malik said chuckling.

"No you're not at all.. you pull off everything just perfectly. You're just saying this to make me feel better" , she said with a pout of her lips as if she was in his presence.

That made him give out a small laugh before he said "Zain,i am the happiest man alive today. I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I can't promise you a perfect marriage but i promise to be by your side no matter how good or bad life gets."

They talked for a few more minutes and finally excused themselves to go on with their preparations for the day.

She felt a little lighter and less nervous than before after that phone call with Malik, one thing she so much loves about him is he always makes her feel better in tight situations like this.

***********************
At exactly 2:00 pm that day,the nikah (tying of the nuptial knots) was done making her Malik's lawful wife in the eyes of God and man.

There were many prominent people in attendance considering that Zain's father was a former ambassador while Malik's father is a retired army officer.  Malik was surrounded by his many friends, family and well wishers with all their smiles. This is just the happiest day of his life, he thought and he can't wait to see his beautiful wife. After the tying of the nuptial knot, all the guests including the groom with his families convereged to one of the town's most expensive hotel for the wedding reception where they'll meet the bride with her family and friends to exchange plesantaries and some refreshment ofcourse. Afterall what's a wedding without some food of different varieties and drinks to celebrate.

Zainab on the other hand was encircled by her friends and cousins where they've been  teasing her about been the Malik's beautiful bride.
"Assalamualaikum ",they were distracted by the make-up artist. They all turned around at the same time answering her salam.

"Ah finally you're here.. we've got only an hour to dress me up" , Zain said to the make-up artist with a warm smile.

"I got you girl, let's get started " , chirped the make-up artist as she began to bring up the cosmetics for the bridal make-up.

In less than 40 minutes the bride has been caked up in make-up, wearing a long white Alexander McQueen lace gown adorned with crystal swarovski stones that flows at the bottom with a long white veil that complemented the look. Her hair was  put up in a loose bun and wrapped in a beautiful white scarf that's adorned with beautiful crystal pearls . Her jewellery was simple yet breathtakingly beautiful from Christian Rosē designs .

Zain, been the simple lady doesn't want wearing anything flamboyant. She just wants to keep it plain and simple yet classy all the time.
Her shoes were not too much of high heels as she is already very tall. They were a silver pair of Chanel bridal stilettos her mother had ordered from Dubai for her big day.

"Ah look at her! Looking all gorgeous and smelling all good just like a bride" . One of her Aunts exclaimed.

"Thanks Aunty" she said shyly giving her Aunt a side hug.

"Ma shaa Allah Ma shaa Allah!! her mother said coming to hug her with her eyes looking glassy showing she's about to cry.

"Maama if you start crying i will definitely join you and ruin my make-up " , Zain said to lighten the mood as she gave her mother a hug.

"Barakallah, may Allah bless you", her mom wispered.

"People, the bridal car is here!!! Let the bride come up, it's time everyone!".
Exclaimed one of her cousins Aisha in an energetic voice as she came behind Zain to hold her dress while she walks so she won't step on it.

Her best friend Munira, held her by the hand to accompany her to the bridal car and also stay by her side in case she needs anything.

In a few minutes the house became choked up with guests extending their greetings and congratulations thereby getting ready to get to the reception venue too.

"I'm so nervous Munni" , Zain said  patting her heated cheeks as she sat at the back seat of the bridal car with her friend by her side.

"Relax, it's going to be just fine, in shaa Allah. Besides it's Malik not anyone else you just married" , she winked at her holding her hand to calm her nerves.

Zainab gave her a reassuring smile "yes right... i just married the love of my life... where's my phone? I need to update on my Facebook,  twitter, instagram and Snapchat that I'm the Mrs now. "
She said laughing while her friend handed her her iphone as she took some pictures and added to her social media pages.

Just as she was about to hand her  friend back the phone her phone buzzed indicating a message. She intended not to check because she had been too  busy to reply the congratulatory messages from people all over her social media but the sound of the notification told her it's a message from the most  important person in her  life  right now,her husband. She opened  the message with a smile making it's way to her face.

"Zain, you're my life now, you've given me whatever it takes to make a man happy. You've given me more reason to wake up every day and thank Allah for bringing you to my life. I want to let you know again and again that i love you from the deepest part of my heart and it's a lifetime accomplishment being a husband to you. I love you Zain."

Your husband, Malik.

She was so engrossed reading the message that melted her heart that she didn't even realise they've actually made it to the wedding venue.

"Zain we're here, ready?"  Munira asked and Zainab replied with a nod.

"Let's do this,i want to see my husband" she said smiling.  And with that, the bride made her grand entry into the large hall full of guests from all walks of life, families and friends and well wishers.
