I had finished villianology and went to a table outside to get ready for basic psychology.

I heard a loud thud and looked up to see Gil sitting there.

"Hello, Gil."
"Sorry, Princess I interrupted your studying didn't I."
"not at all. You were just saving me from understanding the human mind."
"I don't know whether to feel guilty or not."

I saw him pouting a little and I laughed as I waved him off.

"don't feel guilty. How was your day."
"it was nice. Fitting in was a lot harder than I thought but that's what happens when you go to your dad's mortal enemy school if that makes sense?"

I tilted my head and smiled at him.

"yes, I understand."

My smile disappeared when I saw red marks on his knuckles and saw the very light purple bruises on him. I reached out and touched his face making him flinch.

"Gil!"

I ran over and grabbed his hand. Inspecting the wounds carefully

"was it Chad. I swear to god I'll hurt him 10 times as much."
"Princess, I'm fine."

You looked and could see him trying to not cry.

"No. It's not! Gil, you're too nice to be treated like this. You're too-."
I tried to find the right words. I wanted to say something nice but all the words you could think made you see him as more than a friend.

"it's okay you don't have to say anything."
"Gil. You're perfectly imperfect and I love that about you."
"Thanks, Princess. Now come on. We have some Time before class so let's get some sweets."

I giggled and ran with him to the kitchen. There were always random sweets in there since some people here loved to bake but never ate the food. This was, this right here was the moment. I was in love. I didn't care that we don't know each other that well or that love, at first sight, is stupid. Without a parachute, I dived head and fell in love with him.

This was annoying. Chad kept trying to fight me and got all the other preppy boys to fight me. I sat down at a nearby Bench wanting to either sleep or cry I didn't know yet.

"Hello, Gil."

I looked up and saw Adeelah singing across from me.

"Sorry, Princess I interrupted your studying didn't I."
"not at all. You were just saving me from understanding the human mind."
"I don't know whether to feel guilty or not."

I pouted a little.  I didn't want to do anything to upset her. She was really nice to me.

"don't feel guilty. How was your day."
"it was nice. Fitting in was a lot harder than I thought but that's what happens when you go to your dad's mortal enemy school if that makes sense?"

She tilted her head and smiled at me.

"yea I understand."
'She's so cute.'
"Gil!"

She ran over and inspected the wounds. She felt so delicate but yet so strong.

"was it Chad? I swear to god I'll hurt him 10 times as much."
"Princess, I'm fine."

"No. It's not! Gil, you're too nice to be treated like this. You're too-."

I felt uneasy and felt bad about myself. She only likes me as a friend or maybe she doesn't like me at all. I tried to push the thought back.

"it's okay you don't have to say anything."
"Gil. You're perfectly imperfect and I love that about you."
"Thanks, Princess. Now come on. We have some Time before class so let's get some sweets."

She was so innocent and caring that she didn't deserve something like this. I pulled her to the kitchen and I ate so much pie and chocolate while she ate cinnamon buns and caramel chocolate chips. As we ate the sugar-filled items it felt amazing as if we were in our own little world where it was us and that beautiful laugh.
'man I love you.'
