I hugged lapis and teared more "hey sapphire what happened?" "I-is my step mother she won't let me go to the prince ball" "hey why don't you go now with me?" "I-i can't my mother said she will be back after midnight i can't live" "you just come back before midnight put a mask on and no one will recognize you i thought you were smarter than me sapph" i smiled and cleaned my face i changed into a dress that lapis gave me and put on a mask "are you ready?" Lapis asked "i-i think i was born ready" we both laugh at that and went to the ball
Ruby POV

"Hey ruby how are you doing?" "I'm fine Steven how is your girlfriend Connie doing?" I turn back to look for sapphire if she arrived but no clue "fine what are you looking at?" "Oh...i was searching for someone i thought they would be the first to arrive but maybe they are not coming" "who are you talking about?" I turn to face him "a girl were are the others?" "Bismuth went with jasper and flirt with some girls peridot may be outside amethyst is talking to a guard pearl and Chenty must be with her friends ruby tell me more about this girl do you like like her? Orr" "oh well she is beautiful and has long silver hair and has two beautiful sapphire eyes why?" In Steven face grew a  weird smile "what are you doing?" Steven started pushing me to the dance floor were he told me "you dance with some girls and I'll search for her" i didn't really approved at that but Steven being Steven i couldn't help but do has he ordered "may i have this dance my Prince?" I nodded at the girl that offered me to dance but then i regretted it she kept stepping on my feet and it was getting annoying "em.." "It's Jessica" "right Jessica I'm going and get fresh hair I'm tired from all the dancing" "sure my Prince" i walked outside and saw peridot with a girl "ahem peridot" "oh hey baby brother she is lapis" "don't call me that and hi lapis I'm ruby" "i know nice to meet you" i whispered to peridot "are you going to marry her?" He was totally blushing i laugh a little and left them alone i was a little disappointed because i was looking forward to meet sapphire she is the only reason why i decided to join the party and not stay close in my room i saw a girl with beautiful silver hair "is that you sapphire?" She turns around and nods "why are you wearing a mask?" I asked her "it's my mother she didn't want me to come here so a friend of mine decided  to help me and here i am" i was surprised why would her mother deny her "o well since we were here why don't we dance?" "S-sure" "then may i have this dance?" I asked jokingly "yes you may" she said giggling we danced and danced till we were really tired "i haven't had this much fun in ages" i said "same can i ask you a question?" "Sure go ahead" " why are you becoming king and not your older brother?" "You know the Flamingos city right?" "Yes is the near by kingdom if i don't mistake" "right well my father's brother was killed along side with his family and no body is controlling it my brother is going to rule it and i will rule here that is when i will get married but i don't think i will be able to" "why do you say that my prince" "first if all call me ruby we are friends now and second because i won't be able all the royal family is able to summon their weapon i can't and it's a problem...promise me you won't tell anyone" "i promise" the clock singed the midnight "I'm really sorry ruby i have to live" lapis rushed over and took sapphire "when will i see you again?" Me and peridot said in union "i don't know they said in union "so ruby how was your "day" with her" i rolled my eyes and walked inside i could hear peridot laugh
