were we not ever lost
on that ship of dreams
where toppings were
soft whipped creams
and dinner was served
at one particular time
with various standards
for the poor and prime

but we highly chose
to remain unconcerned
with the class division
for we had now learned
that love had no class
or wasn't at all confined
to any sort of boundaries
let alone raw or refined!

so we traipsed our ways
down the luxury dorms
to the hearty basement
that designed no norms
regardin' fake ettiquettes
about carrying your soul
around the ideal crowds
so artificial on the whole

while dancing for hours
on the hard wooden floor
we rejoiced the moments
and so yearned for more
after we escaped our way
into the dreamy carriages
and enjoyed the journey
to the stars beyond ages!

you drew that evening
a lovely portrait of mine
caressed by your soft love
and a touch, oh so divine!
the best time of my life
was coming to an end
yet i was not aware of it
awaited us a fate's bend

i won't go into the details
for my heart quivers at it
the memory of losing you
and missin' you to last bit
just know that i fulfilled
the promise i made to you
as an old woman in a bed
i die 'n' finally come to you

say jack, have you missed
the scent 'n' sight of mine
as much as i've missed you
and the soft hold of thine
for if you have then come
lets meet in golden beams
once again by grand clock
lost on that ship of dreams

Author's Note

Listening to 'The Portrait' by James Horner which is a musical piece played on a piano for Titanic that I often play during journeys like now as I'm returning to my hometown for two days. It's so dreamy that I couldn't stop myself from writing the tale of Titanic in poetry. Titanic is my favourite movie of all times since my childhood and I'm glad that I gave it a chance in hidden words. So how did you find this poem? ❤

Much Love xX
