Upon a long uneven path, I stumbled
Caressed by Sun's breath so humbled

Playin' hide and seek with the shades
I decided to see when sunshine fades

So, I spread out my paper and paints
'N' looked at the sky, oh how it faints!

Very leisurely, I set out to sketch it all
When it echoed, a flightless bird's call

Turnin' around, I saw it softly hidden
Among the bushes, poorly bedridden

So I walked over 'n' set it on my palm
After a slight hesitation, it grew calm

It's tiny leg was injured, about to heal
Couldn't search the water, I could feel

I carried it to a nearby rushin' stream
Cupped some water, fulfilled a dream

'N' fed that little soul to its heart's full
I say, it felt so better than being artful

By then, the sun was softly settin' low
'N' I could feel, my cheeks were aglow

With happiness, I gathered my goods
It was a day well spent...

Author's Note

Listening to 'Flightless Bird' by Iron and Wine. A very lovely song! :')♡♥

So, helping someone is always better than enjoying yourself by painting or listening to music. I mean, hobbies are hobbies. Keep them hobbies. Even if you make them your passion, don't let them blind you to the needs of the people around you. Nothing's more important than that. :')

That's a silent message to our young generation including myself. Don't be too engrossed in your passions and hobbies that you become ignorant to what's important. Family is important. Humanity is important. :')♡♥

Much love,
Hazel *-*
