Chapter 1: The News

Start from the beginning

I went to Washington for an exchange program. I stayed with the Seavey Family and me being me, fell in love with a boy.

A kind, caring, sensitive, smart, blue-eyed, brunette boy named Daniel Seavey. I stayed with his Mum ( I actually don't know her name, I just called her Mrs Seavey or Daniels Mum and eventually just Mum) his Dad (again I don't know his name), his 2 older brothers and little sister. Christen Tyler and Anna.

"Bye honey, bye sweetheart." Dad said snapping me from my thoughts and closing the front door behind him.

"Bye dad." I yelled.

Mum walked out of the kitchen with a plate of triple choc cookies.

"Here. You should start packing and probably break the news to Mitchell." She said handing me the plate.

"Crap. I didn't think about that. Do I have to tell him, you know he's going to overreact." I whined.

"I know. Good luck."

She patted me on the shoulder and turned around to walk back to the kitchen.

I turned and walked upstairs to my bedroom.

I entered and put the plate down on my desk and walked over to my bedside to unplug my phone that was charging.

I notice that I had 2 miss calls from Daniel, and 12 miss calls from Mitchell.

You can basically guess what kind of friend Mitchell is.

I met him in Kindergarten and ever since then he has been by side through my whining stages when I didn't get what I want, mood swings, crushes, girl fight, and trouble at school.

Not only have I grown to love him, but my parent love him like their own child and vise versa with his parent and me.

I unlocked my phone about to call Mitchell back, when he called me first.

I answered it and through my phone on my queen size bed.

"Hey Winston!" I said walking to my closet and pulling down a suitcase from a high shelf.

"OK, 1; you know my last name isn't normal and you can't do that. And 2; why haven't you answered any of my calls?"

" OK 1; I can do whatever I want because you love me. And 2; I'm not always with my phone because I have a life and sometimes my phone doesn't."
I said starting to put a lot of sweaters and jeans in the suitcase.

He laughs.

"OK OK. Hey do you want to get some coffee."

"Sure! Also.." I trail running to my bed and grabbing my phone. "I have to tell you something that you won't like." I finished hanging up before he could say anything.

Yep, I'm a great friend.

"Liv! Can you come down here!" My mum yelled from downstairs.

"Coming!"

I grabbed a cookie and munched on it on the way down.

"Yeah?" I asked walking into the kitchen where my mum stood there with a parcel.

"This is for you." She said giving me the parcel and going back to cooking.

"What are you cooking?"

I placed the package on the counter and walked over to mum.

"Just butter chicken."

"Oooo yum. I freaking love Indian food." I then realized. "Damn it, I'm going for coffee with Mitchell and I'm going to end up eating dinner with him like always." I said leaning against the counter.
