He isn't here.

The noisy tea enthusiast

from Wednesday afternoon.

Three days without

seeing a stranger she'd

just observed was having

quite a strange affect on her.

The first day, Thursday,

she'd all but ran to the little café

in order to catch a glimpse of the

dark haired boy who loved tea

a little too much but was disappointed

to discover that he was not there at the

window seat slurping and lapping up tea loudly.

So, she left empty handed.

The second day, Friday,

she entered the little café

incredibly tired from the hellish

day she'd had at work

and was in desperate need

of something sweet; a latte perhaps?

Sparing a glance at the window seat

finding that the boy who read a book,

that's spine was withered beyond repair,

wasn't there. So she took her drink and

walked home feeling strangely empty inside.

Even a complete stranger

could disappear on her

in an instant.

Then, on the third day,

Saturday, she couldn't come

to the little café because

she caught a cold and

was forced to say at home.

But it didn't matter

because he wasn't there.

The noisy tea enthusiast

from Wednesday afternoon

who'd up an left, left her

alone, completely alone

again.
