Amber had different types of friends - with different likes and dislikes, with different age groups, with differnt cultures, with different time-zones even.
But, she was left alone by every single type of them everytime.
She couldn't trust anyone anymore, which just left her no option other than to stay alone.
They used to tell her they were different, that they wouldn't leave her like others did, but did the same eventually.
She found friends in the characters of the books she read. They gave her advice and accompanied her everywhere.
She was living her life peacefully, but the society HAD to intervene. They decided to label her an anti-social freak, who never talked to anyone. They also compared her to other kids, a thing which annoyed her terribly.
She got frustrated. They got a freak show.
She kept quiet. She decided to let go. She decided it was no use anymore.
