Releasing a heavy, tired breath, Y/N all but drug her feet across the floor as she moved through the hallway in the house that would lead her to her room, the work day wearing her out more than it usually did. She wasn't physically exhausted considering meetings had her sitting for the majority of the day, but merely mentally exhausted. She didn't want to spend any more of her day writing down notes of what not to do during certain scenes, and she couldn't help but internally groan when she thought about the script that thrashed around inside her bag. As she weighed the consequences of not studying her script she reached her room, and she turned the handle to push open the door, stopping in her tracks when she found Dove already in the room. The blonde-haired girl was sitting at the table in the middle of the room, multiple papers and pens organized evenly across the surface in front of her, and her bag placed cautiously so that it was leaning against the leg of her chair. A small smile found its way to her face at the neat state her girlfriend had everything set up despite the hectic way she seemed to be working; the girl's obsession with keeping everything ordered and clean being one of the traits that both irritated and delighted Y/N. It was clear that Dove hadn't heard her enter - though she wondered how - so Y/N stood in the doorway for an extended period to admire her girlfriend's flawless beauty. The smile on Y/N's face seemed to be everlasting as she watched Dove concentrate on the words inked into the script, her hand moving quickly to write little notes into the script. She couldn't help it. She loved the way Dove's eyebrows furrowed as though the words challenged her - though Y/N doubted they did - she loved the way she pressed her lips together frequently, making sure her lip gloss was still in perfect tact, and she definitely loved the vibrant smile that appeared on her girlfriend's face every time she got an answer correct; which was quite often. Y/N stepped further into the room, closing the door behind her loud enough to startle Dove as she carelessly tossed her bag onto the floor beside her bed, not caring that Dove would gently scold her for being messy. Before Dove could turn toward the door, Y/N moved behind her chair, leaning down to wrap her arms around her girlfriend in greeting. "Hey, beautiful," Y/N whispered in Dove's ear before pressing her lips to the girl's cheek. "How was your day?" "It was great," Dove replied ecstatically, turning her head to smile brightly up at Y/N. "I've got a whole work load though. How was your day?" "Horrid," Y/N answered honestly, sliding her hands down her girlfriend's arms until she could lace their fingers together, forcing Dove to release the pencil she had been holding. "But I know a way you could make it better." "Mm," Dove hummed, resting her head against Y/N's shoulder. "And what would I have to do, exactly?" Y/N's gaze flickered down to Dove's tempting lips. "You'd have to let me kiss you." "Do you even need me to respond to that?" Dove arched her eyebrow playfully, tilting her head so that she was facing Y/N the best she could in their current position. A smirk curving one corner of Y/N's lips, she closed the remaining distance between them by covering Dove's lips with her own, her heart fluttering when she felt the girl's mouth curving into a smile. Her craving for the girl instantly grew inside of her, igniting her heart with pleasurable flames and urging her to push her mouth further against her girlfriend's, her tongue snaking from her mouth to drag across Dove's bottom lip, begging for entrance. Once she felt Dove's lips parting she slid her tongue into the other girl's mouth, allowing a low groan to vibrate through her when their tongues tangled sensually together, neither battling for dominance. But it was all over before Y/N wanted it to be, Dove separating their lips and placing a quick kiss on her jaw. "Feel better?" Dove questioned amusedly as she turned back to the table, slipping her hands from Y/N's grip to retrieve her pencil. "Not sure," Y/N chewed on her bottom lip thoughtfully, watching as Dove picked up where she left off in her script. "You ended a good thing too quickly, babe." "I'm sorry," Dove gave her a saddened expression before kissing her briefly. "But I need to study this script, I promise I'll cheer you up later." Y/N blew out a heavy breath in defeat, resting her chin on Dove's shoulder despite the strain it put on her back to lean down so far, and continued to watch as the girl worked rapidly. Suddenly, an appealing idea crept its way into her mind, quirking her mouth into a smirk. Bringing her hand around, Y/N swept all of Dove's hair to her left shoulder and leaned in to press her lips to the newly exposed skin of her girlfriend's neck, beginning to trail delicate kisses down until she reached the collar of her shirt. With Dove giving her no sign to leave her alone, Y/N brought her mouth back up to the girl's pulse point, instead deciding to wrap the pale skin in her lips, her teeth joining the mix every so often. When Dove's head fell delicately back against her shoulder she knew that the blonde-haired girl's eyes had fluttered shut, and when she heard a soft sigh leave her girlfriend's lips it only urged her on. Sliding her hands around to Dove's collarbone she closed her fingers around the top button of the girl's shirt, freeing it from its hold before moving to the next to repeat the movement. An unexpected knock on the door ripped them from the separate world they had created, and Y/N groaned audibly in annoyance as she pulled away after Dove started in surprise. "Oh my goodness!" Dove exclaimed, fumbling with the buttons of her shirt as she stood from her seat. "Who is that?" Y/N asked, wanting someone to target her anger at. "It's Lucas," Dove answered, fixing her hair over her neck frantically, her gaze never leaving the light mark Y/N had left on her. "Well tell him to get a life and leave," Y/N replied, gripping the edge of the chair tightly in a weak attempt to relax; it just had to be Lucas. "Y/N," Dove scolded lightly, sending her a look as she moved toward the door. "He's here to study with me." "Tell him to leave," Y/N groaned. "You were studying just fine by yourself." "Was I?" Dove challenged, arching her eyebrow at her before turning to open the door and greet Lucas. "Well not if you look at it the wrong way," Y/N muttered under her breath as she let go of the chair and dropped heavily onto her bed, accepting defeat finally. At first, Y/N ignored the two studying in the room, lying on her back on her bed and flipping through the script her director had given her, hoping that the session wouldn't take long. She didn't exactly like the fact that Dove continued studying with Lucas, but she kept that feeling to herself, well aware that Dove would tell her she's being ridiculous; like the first couple of times she had told her. It was always the same; you're being ridiculous, Y/N. He was perfectly fine with us breaking up, and we've both moved passed that. What Y/N thought was ridiculous was the fact that Dove seemed to be utterly oblivious to Lucas's near-obsession with her. The boy got underneath Y/N's skin and ground her nerves; it was as simple as that. But she played nice with him, knowing it wouldn't get her anywhere to do the opposite. Though it didn't stop her from mocking him with Tenzig and Joey when Dove wasn't paying attention. Just as she was hoping it was nearly over - Dove rambling on about something Y/N found herself completely lost when trying to follow along - her teeth dug into each other as her jaw clenched in barely controlled anger. "You're so beautiful," Lucas breathed out in a dreamlike state. Y/N placed her finger inside her script to hold her spot, lending her undivided attention to the two sitting not even ten feet from her. Dove giggled awkwardly. "Thank you, but as I was saying..." And Y/N found herself losing interest in the conversation again as it returned to show-related topics, but she kept a larger portion of her attention locked on Lucas, her patience with the boy already wearing thin. She hadn't even gotten through another spell when he interrupted Dove again. "Do you wanna take a break? Like, maybe we could go get something to drink?" This time she couldn't stop herself from being the next voice to sound through the room. "Watch where you're treading, boy. One might think you're not focused on learning that script." Y/N knew what expression was waiting for her the second she felt Dove's gaze on the side of her face, so she didn't look away from her book, keeping her own gaze locked on the pages as if she hadn't stopped reading to say something. Once Dove looked away from her she shifted her attention to Lucas, letting a small smile form on her lips as she took in his expression. She raised her eyebrows in a silent challenge, daring him to say something else. He turned back to his script. However, it turned out that she hadn't silenced Lucas's attempts like she thought she had, because not even a minute later the boy was trying again. "I'm sorry, Dove, but," Lucas began; and Y/N made sure it looked as though she weren't listening in. "I've been thinking, for the past couple of days, that I don't think we should have broken up." "Lucas," Dove sighed, glancing over at Y/N cautiously. "I thought we agreed to drop this." "I know, but I can't stop feeling like we were made for each other..." And that's when Y/N snapped. "Okay, Prince Charming," Y/N said mockingly, slamming her book shut and throwing it on her bed as she got to her feet. "Let me just clear something up for you." Y/N moved over to the table where the other two sat, ignoring Dove's stare burning through her skin as she gathered up Lucas's stuff and carelessly stuffed it in his bag. Grabbing the strap of the bag with one hand she gripped the back collar of Lucas's shirt in her other, yanking the boy to his feet and dragging him across the room, towards the door. "I may be nice, but I still have my limits just like everyone else," Y/N continued, opening the door and pushing Lucas through the opening. "And it just so happens that you consistently hitting on my girl is very high on that list." Y/N threw the heavy bag into Lucas's chest, sending his body to the ground as she offered him a small wave before shutting the door with enough force to cause it to rattle. She turned back around and went directly back to her bed, flopping back down with a loud huff and retrieving the script to continue flipping through its contents. That is, until an extremely familiar weight rested on her lap. Dove gripped the top of the script and pulled it from Y/N's grasp, closing it and dropping it beside them on the bed as she settled on the smaller girl's body, one leg on either side of her waist. "You know," Dove started, her voice low. "If I'm being honest with you, I can't even be mad at you for acting out because it's really attractive when you do." "Acting out?" Y/N questioned, arching her eyebrow and trying not to let her eyelids flutter over her eyes at the feeling of Dove caressing her stomach. "I had every right to kick him out." "Mmhm," Dove hummed, gripping the front of Y/N's shirt and tugging her into a sitting position so that she could brush her nose along the length of the other girl's. "I just can't stand when he does that," Y/N whispered angrily, relaxing when Dove's hot breath danced across her lips. "You're my girl, and..." Y/N didn't get to finish her sentence due to Dove crashing their mouths together in an overwhelmingly passionate kiss. Dove's kiss was just rough enough to claim Y/N as hers, but soft enough to ease all of her anger, and she found herself wrapping her arms around the blonde-haired girl's waist to pull their bodies closer together, her mind too hazy for her to even think about doing anything else. When Dove separated their lips again, Y/N opened her eyes to stare into the depths of Dove's green ones, her mind undividedly focused on the girl straddling her. "Now, I think it's time for your girl to cheer you up yeah?," Dove whispered, hands gripping the nape of Y/N's neck. Finding that she was suddenly made speechless by her girlfriend's beauty, all Y/N could manage was a nod, and her heart fluttered uncontrollably when Dove giggled at her response. Y/N pulled Dove's body flush against her as their mouths met again, flipping their positions so she was hovering over the blonde-haired girl. Another groan made its way passed Y/N's lips when a loud knock sounded through the room, and she buried her face in Dove's neck as the girl laughed infectiously, praying that whoever was standing outside their room eventually left her alone with her girlfriend.
