I was at a floral shop, helping my mom pick out flowers for Liza's memorial. Her mom asked me to do it. She said i knew her better.

Everything was so dark. The roses were a deep red color. I hated them.
I didn't want her to be represented as something that was lost, but was found.
She was okay now, she was away from the hurt and the pain.
"David what do you think?"
She held up a big bundle of red roses.
I shook my head.
"David you have said no the past five already."
"Because I don't like them."
"David help me out here honey."

I looked around as my eyes fell upon a white rose. I picked it up and looked down at it.
I walked over to my mom and placed it with in the red ones.
"David this is perfect."

"She was the light in my dark situations. White represents how pure she was."

A tear fell down my face.
"Mom..."
"Yes honey."
I was sobbing with in seconds.

"I miss her so much!" I fell to my knees right there.
My mom held me like a child.

I wanted my girl with me. My beautiful girl.

Hours later, i sat on my bed staring at the ceiling.
What was i gonna say at the memorial? What was i going to do?
Would i even speak at all?

My phone went off. I ignored it.
My heartbeat was slow. I was calm. For what seemed like the first time in forever.
I knew she was okay.

I heard my mom scream. I jumped up. "Mom?!"
She was sobbing.
"David!"

I felt as if i jumped over the stairs. My mom had the phone up to her ear.
"Whats going on?!"

She was out of breath.

"They found her! She's alive!"

She's alive. My. Beautiful. Girl.
