 Lena's POV:

The boy from the woods had taken me to his living place. I was slipping in and out of consciousness on the long walk back to wherever he came from, and he kept carrying me, never letting go. If I wasn't bleeding to death, I probably would've squealed.

I sort of remember being taken into what looked like some prison (but who knows with hallucinations and stuff), and then to a room set up to be like an operating room. A man with white hair worked on me, and gave me a shot of something that knocked me out.

---

"Maggie, she's waking up." I heard the boy say.

"Carl, don't ambush her, I mean she has been out for two weeks now." A man warned.

I opened my eyes to find I was in a prison cell...I guess I wasn't hallucinating when I thought I saw a prison.

The boy, Carl, walked over to my bed and kneeled on the floor next to me.

"Hey, um, hi... So do you remember anything? Or do you know what happened? Or-”

"Carl, ease off, let the girl breathe. What's your name, sweet thing?" A woman with soft and short brown hair asked.

"I, um, Lena." I said quietly.

"Well, hello Lena! I'm Maggie, and this is Glenn."

"And your admirer over here is Carl." The man, Glenn, said.

"Shut up, Glenn. I was, uh, just making sure she was ok. Any normal person would do that. So, now, I know she's alive, so I'm gonna go." Carl said, and he left.

I kind of hoped he would stay.

"Is the girl awake?" A tough looking man asked and walked into my...cell.

"Just woke up, but don't bother her Rick, she's probably still in a lot of pain." Maggie said.

"I need to know about her stab and the man she mumbled about...it might lead us to the Governor." Rick replied.

Did I mumble about the man?

Rick walked over and crouched down to be face to face. His face was sweaty, and he looked as if he had never slept a day in his life. His voice was low and rumbling when he asked me "What's your name, girl?"

"Lena." I replied nervously.

Should I be worried with these people?

"Well Lena, that's a pretty nasty stab wound you had there. And if it weren't for Hershel, you'd probably be dead." He spoke.

"I-the boy, Carl? He-he saved me." I whispered, "If it weren't for him, I'd be a walker, sir."

"Carl," He sighed. "Under most circumstances I'd whoop his ass for leavin', but I guess he did help ya."

I nodded slowly.

"So, the man who stabbed you...can you describe him?"

At this point, I broke down. I spilled everything about the man, tying Aria up and leaving her for the walkers and stabbing me just because I found out what he does with the walkers. About how I walked around hopelessly for days after I escaped that wretched man; how if Carl hadn't saved me, I'd be dead. Everyone in the room probably thought I was nuts, and they were going to set me free for the walkers to eat.

"I don't want to cause you any trouble, sir, so I can leave as soon as you need." I stammered.

"Lena," Rick said slowly and kindly, "you can consider us your new home."
