~Your POV~

"Psssst. (Y/N)!" Ruby whispered. My ears perked up and I turned to her as she gave me bright grin and a cheerful wave. I chuckled and waved back at her. "You dolt! Sit back down!" Weiss hissed at her and pushed down her hand. Ruby pouts and goes back to doodling in her notebook.

I sighed bored as I spaced out during class. Staying indoors and listening to boring lectures were never my thing and never will be. I like to spend my time outside sleeping on the grass, playing tag with Ruby, and just being outside and free in general.

I felt a paper airplane hit the side of my head causing me to flinch. I looked at the airplane then heard someone whisper to me. "Open it!" Ruby whispered and pointed to the paper airplane. I unfold it to show a doodle of me and Ruby. I chuckled at the drawing and began to doodle in my own notebook for Ruby.

Ruby and I have been best friends ever since we were toddlers. I was abandoned by my parents when I was still a baby and Yang found me in a box next to the dumpster. She took me in and begged her parents to let me stay. They weren't sure at first since Ruby was still only a baby but Yang said that I could be a good influence for her since I was the same age as her.

Ruby and I grew up side by side and it took a lot to separate us. I'm close to Yang too but she liked to hang out with her friends more than me but I didn't mind. Ruby and Yang were my only friends while growing up since I was a faunus. I'm a (dog breed) faunus and I have a dog (ears/tail).

I came to Beacon with Ruby and met her team. Ozpin made an acceptation of putting me into RWBY as a fifth member. Blake and I..... well we have a complicated friendship. Let's just say cats and dogs don't match very well most of the time. When she found out I was going to be the fifth member, she strongly disagreed and told me to stay away. We slept on opposite sides of the room and wouldn't talk to each other.

When ever I tried to ask her something, she would hiss at me. I don't think the other girls knew she was a faunus though. But I could easily tell by her scent and the way she acted. I wanted to be friends with her but she said she prefers to be alone. But at least the past several months, she's been opening up to me more and started talking to me.

Weiss.... Weiss is a different story. Sure Blake didn't like me at first but Weiss... She despised me. I wasn't the type to hide away from things. I never liked hiding the fact I'm a faunus, I was proud of who I was. First time she saw me, she threatened to kill me and my kind. I was scared about what she said but Ruby and Yang stood up for me.

Ever since Blake told the other girls she was a faunus, Weiss changed her views. Blake probably meant a lot to her just like the other members that's why she changed her ways. I never meant that much to Weiss, she just saw me as an extra.

She never looks at me and only throws glares and glances. Whenever I tried to speak to her, her eyes would widen slightly and she would walk away from me without a word. It hurts me that she didn't see me as an equal or even a faunus. Heck, she might not even see me as something living.

I finished doodling a little puppy dog then folded it into a paper airplane. I flew it over to Ruby's seat and just when she was about to catch it, Weiss snatched from the air. She glared at the both of us. Ruby whined and tried to grab the piece of paper from her but she held it out of her grasp. I looked down and sighed sadly then went back to writing in my notebook.

Once class was over, I headed over to Ruby who gave me a big hug. "(Y/N/N)! Weiss was being mean and she wouldn't let me have the paper airplane you tried to give me!" Ruby whined. I glanced at Weiss who was with Yang and Blake. She was glaring at the both of us causing me to gulp nervously. "I-It's fine Ruby. I'll send you other paper airplanes and draw you more things." I said. She smiled brightly and nodded. "Come on (Y/N)! Let's go play tag!" She cheered.

"Aren't you two a little too old to play tag?" Weiss budged in. Ruby looked at her confused, "No. You're never too old to play tag!" I kept quiet and stared at Weiss. "Oh please. The both of you are such children. When will you two ever grow up?" Weiss scoffed.

Ruby frowned and looked down at her boots. I hated seeing Ruby down, she's always so cheerful and happy. I glared at Weiss and felt my anger boil. "Just leave her alone Weiss," I snapped. The four girls looked at me surprised. I've never stood up to Weiss before, never in my life. But when I saw that she made Ruby upset, it snapped inside of me. No one hurts my best friend.

"Excuse me?" She said. "You heard me. Look Ice Queen, I don't know what the fuck you have against me but I'm not just gonna stand here and let you make Ruby sad." I growled. She glares at me and was about to speak up but I walked towards her till I towered over her. "If you're gonna fucking get your anger and irritations out then do it on me. You already hate me anyway! But don't you dare hurt Ruby." I threatened. She kept quiet and I turned back around to Ruby. "Come on. Let's go play tag." I said and dragged Ruby away.

Ruby, Zwei, and I played tag until all of us ran out of breath and collapsed onto the grass. "Thanks for standing up for me," Ruby said. I smiled and ruffled her hair. "It's nothing," I said. I stretched and yawned. I heard soft footsteps coming towards us but I didn't pay much attention to it.

"Ruby. (Y/N)." I heard Weiss's voice. I kept quiet and looked at her. She wouldn't look at us and kept her gaze away. "I wanted to apologize to Ruby," She said. Ruby smiled and sat up. "Aww Weiss. I forgive you!" Ruby said with a grin. I closed my eyes and continued to rest in silence.

"Can I talk to you alone (Y/N)?" Weiss asked. I opened one of my eyes and looked at her. "Please," She said. I was surprised that she asked politely. I sighed and sat up. "Alright Ice Queen," I said and got up.

She took me to an area where no one could hear us and looks at me. "I want to say sorry too. About what happened today." She said. "It's fine," I said and shrugged it off. She sighed and pulled me into a hug. My eyes widen as I looked at her. "Weiss?" I asked. She didn't say anything but only hugged me tighter.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry if I made you think I hated you.... I really don't..." She said. I kept quiet and listened to what she had to say. "I know I'm mean to you and you probably hate me too... But just now I don't hate you back." She said and looked up at me with her blue eyes. I sighed and patted her head. "I don't hate you. Not even after all the things you said and did to me." I said.

"Really?" She asked, letting out a soft sniffle. I nodded and smiled slightly, "But what I don't understand is that, why are you doing all these things but you don't hate me? You wouldn't even look me in the eyes." She gulped nervously and pulled away, "We-Well, there's something that I feel towards you that makes me like that. It's not hate but..." She says but her voice trails off.

"What?" I asked. She gulped and grabbed my by my shirt and smashed our lips together. My eyes widen in surprise as I felt her lips on mine. They were warm and soft, it gave me a tingling feeling. Kind of like how if a snowflake lands on your lip and you feel a small surge through your body. I felt her pull away and her cheeks were red as Ruby's cape.

"I-I think I like you... Ever since I changed my ways, I began looking at a new side of you. I-I think you're really cute and kind. You're always cheerful and I like that about you. Wh-When your nose scrunches up, all I wanna do is kiss your face and cuddle you!" She stutters nervously as her cheeks continued to grow red. I felt my cheeks heat up as well from the confession.

I felt my heartbeat thump loudly in my chest as my ears grew red from embarrassment. "We-Weiss, are you sure?" I asked. She nods and pulls me back into a hug. "I-I wanna be with you. I-I wanna be able to hold you. But you probably like Ruby, don't you?" She said sadly.

I shook my head and kissed her forehead, "Ruby is my best friend and I consider her nothing more than that. The truth is, I've been feeling the same way about you even though I also thought you hated me. I think you're really beautiful and when you flip your hair and walk away, I find it kinda cute. And when you get nervous, all I wanna do is hold you tightly." I told her.

By now both our cheeks were bright red. "S-So, wi-will you go out with me?" Weiss asked. I smiled and kissed her again. She lets out a squeak of surprise and kisses back. "Does that answer your question Ice Queen?" I chuckled. She gently punched my arm and smiled, "Yes. Yes it does."
