~No One's POV~

Despite your fluttering feelings around Jett, nothing could beat how fast your heart raced around the American scientist. How your legs went to jelly whenever her vibrant green eyes bore into your (e/c) eyes. How a simple brush of her fingers against your skin made you shiver. Everything about her made you want to be around her more, some would even call you a simp.

It saddened you knowing that Viper would never feel the same toward you. That your bond wouldn't go any further than coworkers. You sometimes envied Omen about how close he was with Viper. You knew they used to work together even before the First Light, but it wasn't something you could hold back.

You told Jett about your crush on Viper, you weren't dense, you knew that the wind girl also had a crush on you. You didn't want to lead her on, Jett was your best friend. Although she was upset that you didn't return her feelings, she promised that nothing would change between the both of you. She valued you as her friend and didn't want to lose you either. She was hesitant about your crush on the mad scientist, especially due to Viper's track record of her actions. Not to mention her lack of interest displayed toward you. Hell, you didn't even know what Viper's real name was.

You twirled your straw around in your cup as you began to space out. You and Jett decided to have lunch at a burger joint. Despite having Jett in front of you ranting about how Phoneix almost set her hoodie on fire, you couldn't help but think about a certain someone. You wondered what she was doing right now. Maybe she was tinkering with her poisons again? Or was she working on a new experiment?

"Helloooo? Earth to (y/n)?" Jett called out as she snapped her fingers in front of you. You flinched and looked at her. "So-Sorry, Jett. I guess I kinda spaced out there didn't I?" you laughed embarrassed. "Kinda?" Jett snickered before picking up a fry from her plate and eating it. "When are you ever gonna tell her?"

You slumped in your seat and buried your face into your palms. It's been a year since you were taken in by the Kingdom, and since your crush for Viper developed. It's also been 4 months since you admitted to Jett about your feelings toward Viper. Even by now, Jett had moved on and actually started dating the healer on her team, Sage. (A/N: I believe in Healstorm supremacy) You were extremely happy for her, and you wished you had her kind of confidence so you could confess your feelings. Jett has been trying to help you with your confession but every time you approached Viper, your brain short-circuits.

"It's not that easy, Jett... It's not like what you and Sage have. You guys were already close, ever since the beginning. Even after a year of being under her wing, she barely talks to me.." You sighed and removed your hands from your face. "I don't even know if she likes women. What if she likes Omen? What if she doesn't even see me as a friend? Oh god, what if she's only around me because she's forced to?" You panicked and ran your fingers through your hair.

Jett rolled her eyes and spotted your phone. Using her abilities, a gust of wind picked up your phone and carried it to her palm. Putting in your password, Jett began to type on your phone. You watched confused as her fingers flew across the screen. "Done. Viper is coming in several minutes." She said and tossed the phone to you. Fumbling your phone before grasping it, you stared at the girl with wide eyes, "What?!"

You looked down at the screen to see that Jett had sent an urgent message to Viper saying, "viper I think I'm in danger."

"Jett! You can't just send things like that! You're gonna bother her!" You lectured and Jett carelessly waved you off. "Oh, calm down girl. Your knight in black and green armor will be coming soon." She teased and finished the food on her plate.
