I'm running. I feel my feet moving under me. I'm alone. The trees are cutting me off from the rest of the world. Even the light of the moon cant break trough the branches. I'm tired. All my thoughts have vanished. My bare feet are hitting the stone ground over and over. It's like I'm moving on autopilot. My messy, uncut hair is blowing in the wind behind me. My skin is covered in goosebumps. My body is shaking. Tears have built up in my eyes. I'm a mess. I just need to move. Damn it. I feel my lips trembling. Just stop thinking. It will just mess everything up.

Suddenly my feet come to a stop. I glance at my surroundings and find myself in a small town, standing in front of an old, rotten house. A sigh escapes my mouth. I was home. No more running. Stop.

I move slowly towards the door. My head is throbbing. My eyelids feels heavy. I clench my jaw before I slowly open the door, reveling a narrow, dark hallway. I feel my jaw clenching. At least no one is awake... I relax a bit. It's okay.... You're fine.

I slowly move inside and up the creaky stairways. The hallway in front of me is empty. It seems even darker than downstairs, even tough I know it's not. I feel myself relax a bit. Maybe it's haunted? A grin is spreading out on my face. That's what my sister used to say when she wanted to mess with me. It always worked. I would have a hard time sleeping for many weeks after. It still scared me when I was old enough to understand that she was lying. I would never have admitted that. I shrug as I open the wooden door in front of me and enter my bedroom. I was home.
