"No.. she's not, sorry Glen," and I breathe a sigh of relief, slumping my shoulders.

"Um then why are you answering her phone then hmm?" He says laughing and I can't help but laugh uncontrollably at the ridiculous situation he's put us into.

Charlie puts her hand over my mouth so Glen can't hear me.

"Um.. It's umm because she gave it to me.. And I.. umm.. forgot to give it back to her... Yeah.. That's right! I forgot to give it back to her!" She says bluffing her way through his question.

"You sure about that Charlie?" His deep voice is echoing through the room and I gesture at her to turn the phone speaker down.

"Um yes Glen, quite sure," she says nodding to herself and blushing pink.

"Then why can I hear little miss Willow giggling in the background,"

"Umm.... Ummm," Charlie furrows her brows and mouths 'what the hell do I do?" at me, her eyes wide with panic.

"Hey Glen," I say, quickly taking the phone off her.

"Willloooowww! I knew ye were there! I'm just toooo clever!"

"Are you drunk?" I say.

"Nope but I need to tell you something."

"What is it," I say huffily. I didn't think Glen even realised how early it was in the morning it actually was.

"Do you even know what time it actually is,"

"Yep it's 4.36am."

"Aghhhrr too early Glen. I'm literally asleep," and Charlie is laughing to herself at my grumpiness. I swat at her to shut up and she finally does. I give her the joky evils look and she sticks her tongue out at me.

"Will my phones about to go so Ill tell you what, ill see you at mine in ten minutes or so okay? We need to talk." It takes a minute for what he just said to actually sink into my brain.

"You mean.. Now?" I stutter confused. He can't mean now, it's way to early!

"Yes now. See you in a bit and.. um... bring your friend with ye she sounds nice," he says laughingly and the phone cuts off.

"Wait... Glen? Glen.. Glen?" But the phone has cut off.

"Oh my actual fuck." I drop the phone on the floor in horror. I've got to get out of here and get to Glens in like ten minutes oh my god no way.

"So?" Charlie prompts me.

"What did he want?!"

"We're going to his house now,"

"What?" She squeals.

"But..but.." She stutters with disbelief

"Yes I know it's like four in the morning. Lets just not go.."

"No! We have to go! Come'on it will be fun!" She exclaims and claps her hands excitedly.

"But what if Dannys there? What do I say to him?"

"It's not going to get sorted if you don't face up to him. Com'on pull a hoodie on. Oh my god I'm going to meet Glen Power!"

"Charlie you can't lie for toffee you know,"

"I know, I'm rubbish at it," she says sheepishly but then grins at me cheekily.

She runs to the door and turns on the light.

"Ughhhhh," I squint at the brightness.

Charlie is pulling on some leggings and a washed out hoodie.

"Put this on," she says and throws a zip up hoodie at me which is lined with fur.

Whining and groaning to myself I pull on the hoodie and just leave my bottom pyjamas on.

"Glen will have to put up with these." I say matter of factly.

"Okay then, ill just grab the keys,"

"This feels so sureal Charlie," I state and we collapse with laughter, hanging onto each others arms, as we realise that we're going out in early morning.

We creep down the stairs and softly close the door behind us. Christ it's cold. The sun is just beginning to rise and the sky is streaked with pink and orange highlights.

"I'm surprised your mum and brother didn't wake up, we were so loud!" I say and Charlie giggles.

"Thank goodness they are deep sleepers!" She unlocks the car.

"This car isn't the greatest car by the way," she says and I laugh out loud. It's like a vintage rusty car from like the 1960s!

"I have a bit of an obsession with vintage stuff!"

"It's awesome! I love it!"

Charlie starts of the engine and we set off into the morning sunset.
