(EDITED)Chapter 8: Flashbacks And Reality

Sobs could be heard when the leader comes back from his nightly patrol, his expression turned from confused to worried. He slowly approached his room and creaked the door open slightly, "[Y/N]..?" He called softly, looking for you, the sobs came from beside his bed. "[Y/N]..."

You shakily look up, your eyes were red and bloodshot from the obvious crying. "Leo.." He sighed and walked towards you slowly, when he finally was at a good few inches from you he brought you to his lap and rocked you gently.

"Another nightmare?"

You nod slightly, "It.. It was... horrible.." You choked out, trembling, he patted your head softly.

"Do you want to talk about it?" The leader asked, trying to make you feel better, "It's okay if you don't want to.." He added, giving you a small peck on the cheek which made you blush slightly.

"I... I guess.."

Leo sighed and rolled to the other side, he's been in his room for two hours straight, without talking to his family and friends. His eyes were red and bloodshot from crying, ever since his genius brother told about you being misundertood he felt a huge wave of regret. And that ends up to now. Him just lying on his bed, he also looked at old photos of him and you before the argument.. How much he misses you now..

The leader groans and punches the wall, "Ugh! I WAS SO STUPID!" The punch made a dent, and made his hand redden. Then he took out a katana, and stared at his own reflection in the shiny metal, and for a split second he saw him pointing it at.. you. His eyes widened and he dropped the katana with his arm shaking, "She... She didn't.. deserve this.." He muttered, tears starting to fall, he cried into his pillow until he slept.

"Leo? Have you guys seen Leo?" You asked as you exit the kitchen. The others shrugged, you frowned but got an answer from Donnie.

"He's probably in the dojo." The genius says without looking away from his computer screen, you said a quick 'thanks' and headed to the dojo. And there he was. Doing some katas, you peeked through the entrance, your tail wagging slightly.

"You know, you can just come in." His familiar voice chuckled, you yelp in surprise and fall but Leo catches you in time with a smirk.

"Um.. Hi?" Those were the only words that came out because you were so flustered at the moment, he laughed.

"You're so cute when your flustered." He says cheekily, your eyes widen slightly. The tone in his voice sent a shiver down your spine, he pulled you to the dojo and held a katana. "Hey. Can you see some moves I've been practicing?"

"Sure!"

That memory was one of the best in your life, in fact. The best one before leaving the city, you sighed and laid down in a dark corner of your cave, Luria and Dusk lived with you now and they were out hunting food for you all. A tear escaped your eye and you sniffle softly. "Why..?" You muttered softly, "What did I do wrong to you.. Leo..?" You ask to nobody in particular, and wished he heard you but he coudn't. You burst into tears and wrapped your tail around your trembling body and cried to sleep.

A bit short but eh. The next might be longer I promise! And an early update right? :D
