"Guys look!" We had even trying to find the area where Scarlett had been attacked all week. Looking so closely at the ground for skids in the dirt. For anything that would indicate that this may not have been far from the attackers abode. He was on foot, and these woods are dense. No way would he have been able to drive through here without hitting a tree. "What is it?" I called over to Robert who was knelt on the ground. Finally catching up with him I took the thing he was passing to me. I blew the stray pieces of earth from my palm and inspected the shiny bead it left behind. "It's and earring." I bought it close to my face.
"Is it hers?"
"I don't know. I can't be sure... Kellin!" He sprinted over to us. "Let me see the background on your phone." It was one he took of Scarlett the day of the attack, out on the fields. He held out his phone to me and I zoomed in on the original picture. She was wearing earrings! They were small, plain crystals. The exact same ones by the looks of it!
"This is hers!" I passed the earring to Kellin.
"She has to be around here somewhere. She's got to be."
