I had a feeling of being watched

I had a feeling of being watched. Someone was watching my movements. The only thing was, I knew it wasn't my mates, it wasn't my family, it was none of my friends. My mind was guttered at the idea of someone trying to sabotage for me when I finally found peace in myself, someone was coming around to ruin it.

Moving around in the living room of the new house, my heart couldn't help but jump at the excitement of a new life. The beginning of everything. My life began here.

I had sent workers out to fix the roof of the house while some were planting sunflowers at the entrance. For now, their tasks were simple and easy. But they needed something to do, they wanted something to do.

I was to name my Beta and Gamma within the week. I was frightened, even though I'd never admit it. I had no one close to me yet, I couldn't make that decision. I was thinking of naming Darius my Beta, but Tade would never take part of my pack. He would never accept my position as Alpha.

It hurt me. Deep in my core, it stung worse than any rejection I had felt. But I had no time to think it over, my mind had been on the pack house, on my pack mates, on every person wanting to join my pack.

A knock on the door made me lick my lips for a second, take a deep breath and put on a smile.

I walked to the door and opened up with a big grin.

"Hey, little sister!" Kieran said, grabbing me in a large bear hug. Nolan was soon after, a tight hug that I really cherished. Kieran had always been the one to be Alpha, always the responsible one. Nolan and I had stuck together, even though we both were very different.

"I'm so proud of you, honey", my mother said, kissing me all over my face.

"The place looks great," my father smiled at me. "You've done a very good job"

In the kitchen, the food was cooking up, so just when we were about to sit down to eat, Aidan and Lilly came through the door, Lilly with a big house warming gift.

My smile was big and my laugh was loud when I opened up the present. A big flower pot.

"Thank you!", I laughed, kissing Lilly on the cheek and hugging Aidan tight.

Soon, Tade and Darius joined the party. Of course, they were on opposite sides of the room, staring at each other the whole time. They were both dressed nicely, even though I knew Tade wasn't appreciative of my position as Alpha, he wanted to be here in case anything happened between me and Darius. Because I knew he didn't like the idea of me near him.

They competed for my attention, made the night about themselves when in fact, it was a celebration for the future of my pack.

But I had realized, I was bigger than them. I was so much more mature, I could handle their spits of jealousy once in a while. At least that was what I told myself.

Darius put his hand on my thigh under the table to calm himself down. On the other side of me, Tade put an arm around my waist to show Darius not to take a step further. It worked out for a while, we ate, my parents mostly talking about wine, food and the new system of the pack.

My pack members were all lovely. But so few. Four simple people had joined my pack, they all rogues who had nowhere else to turn. But I was there for them in wet and dry anyway.

Everyone helped me. Everyone did what they could to the best of their abilities. It hadn't been hard for me to teach them my ways of doing things. For women, it was obvious what was the best, for everyone, not only themselves. I only hoped someone would help me in the future, take me seriously enough to give me aid without shoving it in my face later.

But as I sat by the lake alone one night later, a few miles away from my new found home, my thoughts began to wander elsewhere. I know that for an eighteen-year-old girl, I doubted myself just like anyone else, but I wasn't just a teenage girl anymore. I was to be Alpha, the first female Alpha to ever lead a pack in history.

I was part of a legend.

A few weeks had gone by, and I couldn't help but give Tade and Darius the attention we all craved. Maybe I was destined to have them both.

Behind me, I heard rustles of trees. Voices

The thick shrubbery hid them from my view. But they were many.

And they were women.

I stood up, ready to defend myself if need be. But out from the trees, I saw more women than I originally thought, women of ages from sixteen to at least thirty.

Ten of them. Twelve. Fifteen. More coming.

My heart began racing. I had never seen these people before. Was this some sort of ambush?

But one of the women stepped forward, she had brown skin, beautiful locks of auburn hair and feline eyes. Smirking at me, she looked me up and down.

"It's good to finally meet you, Daisy May Warner," she said, while the others agreed. "It's good to meet the woman who will set us all free"

I was confused. But how she said my name, she couldn't have come to the wrong girl.

"What... what exactly do you mean?"

"You're the first female lycan?" she questioned me with a slight authority. I nodded slowly, looking at her indirectly, looking for answers.

"Well," she said, walking forward to shake my hand. "You're not the first. And you won't be the last
