Nicotine & Novocaine

My mind is engulfed
With the thought of you
Surrounding me
Like cigarette smoke
You're addicting
I breathe you in
You're something I can't quit
But you're slowly killing me
I know this is unhealthy
You're all I think of
Caught in my lungs
I'm at a loss for breath
Yet you never feel anything
When you're around me
I've got you trembling
I leave you restless
You say you can feel it in your chest
But honey that's not love
Because you may be nicotine
But I'm novocaine

We're a toxic mix
A bad combination
We drive each other crazy
All I feel is frustration
All I do is make you numb to the pain
All you do is drive me insane
You're the nicotine to my novocaine
