1:03 am

It's 1:03 am
I'm driving home from your house
I need time to think
So I'll take the long way home
It adds three minutes
Now I'm on back roads
The tires hitting the gravel
The only sound
Twenty feet in front of me
The only thing in sight
Your cologne
The only smell on my skin
Your skin on mine
The only touch I need
Your lips on mine
The only taste I need
Even at 1:03 am
You invade my senses
It's only you
I get home at 1:18 am
I'm wondering when I can see you again
You call me at 1:22 am
You want to know if I made it home
You memorized the travel time
It's a nine minute drive
You've been known to speed
I never seem to mind
I get to see you sooner
So now it's 2 am
I need to sleep
You're keeping me up
With your stupid smile
Your soft touch
Your breathy laugh
Your minty scent
Your spearmint gum
I can feel it all
I need to see you again
If only my brain would turn off
So I can fall asleep
