Finding Myself, Finding You

I live my life like an opened book,

Go ahead and take a look.

I have problems, oh, yes indeed!

I'll do anything in order to succeed.

I might have scars upon my delicate skin,

I might have done everything I could just to stay thin,

I might have skipped a meal or two,

But all of this led me to you.

There you were, you kept me from dying.

At first, you asked me if I was okay and I kept lying.

I told you I was perfectly okay,

You knew I was lying, you said that you'd make the pain go away.

So far your words have been true,

You have no idea just how lucky I am to have someone like you.

I know that what we have is real,

I know exactly how you feel.

We know how each other works,

We always put each other first.

At first, I didn't trust you at all,

But I let you in, and you didn't let me fall.

With all the hatred that exists in the world,

I know that you'll always love me, and I'll always be your girl.

With all the deceit and all of the lies,

You know that I'll always love you, and you'll always be my guy.
